The song reminds me of my dad, born in ‘76, who was a huge advocate for all of my hopes and dreams of music. Now a days he’s a little more George Straight, than Crue, but when I was a kid he had showed me the golden age of thrash, arena, and, glam metal/rock. He can still play guitar and sing like nobodies business. I love Motley Crue because my dad was Kickstart my Heart, always good/clean fun, he was a Live Wire, always the life of a party and a genuinely loving guy, he was Shout at the Devil, the epitome of a good man. He is my everything. He is the only reason I am alive today and can still enjoy the memories and melodies of a begotten time. We are our past selves, parents, grandparents. We are made of knowledge/experience passed down. My dad gave me rock n’ roll and undying/unwavering/unyielding love. And that’s about all I’ll ever need in this world.

Man that sounds awesome. My mom got me hip to all the old rock. I got to see my dad drunk on weekends at his mom's house. My mom was big hair wensday everyday of the week an the only thing she loved more than me an my brother was her music 🎶 🎵 hard to listen to some of these old ones but they give me such a dopamine rush from the nostalgic memories of my mom rocking out.

I stopped caring for metal music because the lyricism never seemed to change. Just talking about the same depressive stuff, over and over again. It seemed to be about who played harder and louder than who could explore their creativity deeper. Rap, real rap, gave me exactly what I was missing in metal music. I will compare the first verse from El-P's Tasmanian Pain Coaster with the first verse of this song: Bumped into this kid I knew, he often would walk strange So I ignored the blood on his laces so this cat could save face The dunks and the gaze stayed in an off gray haze And the lump in his pocket talked to the ox that he clutched safeSo I saluted him there, waiting for the A Trapped on the empty platform without the option to escape Gave him the standard, yo, what up man, how you landin'? And the hypnotized response was no surprise, I maintainYeah, we all do, that's the standardized refrain but on some Really real man, good to see you, really, what the dealy deal? Oops, fuck, screwed the pooch, asked too much, knew the truth On the train now, a caboose in his brain now, no recluse80 blocks to uptown spot, destination vocal booth Metro-card like, you get what you pay for stupid, no excuse He pulled his hoody off his cabbage rugged practical And began to fancy the words I mistakenly jostled looseThe stogie he brazenly lit where he sit looked legit But when the flame touched to the tip I could smell it's of another nit He leaned his head back and inhaled the newpie dip and said "The whole design got my mind cryin' if I'm lyin' I'm dyin', shit" Now: Kickstart my Heart When I get high I get high on speed Top fuel funny car's A drug for me My heart, my heart Kick start my heart Always got the cops Coming after me Custom built bike doing 103 My heart, my heart Kick start my heart. I'm not going to shit on your tastes, but there is a difference between the lyrical content put forth by these artists. To act as if people simply listen to rap music because they are stupid is folly in my opinion. You can, however, shit on Lil Wayne, Drake, Future, Tyga, Jay Z, Kanye, Rick Ross, etc. They, unfortunately, are the most well known rappers, and coincidentally the worst as well.

You would show a glam rock hair band as the defination od what rock is? You sir have terrible taste in what rock and roll should be. It def shouldnt be a group of guys using hairspray and aquanet, wearing leopard girl pants, eyeliner and satin scrafs. To quote James Hetfield lead singer of Metalica "we saw a group of hookers walking down the street, so we ran up to talk to them and when we got there we realized it was just Motley Crue" haha best quote ever.

I was at a stop light with "Looks That Kill" cranked up, and a BEAUTIFUL woman in a red BMW X3 was next to me. She heard the song, looked at me and waved, when I turned it down, she said she was Nikki Sixx's Ex-Wife, and he wrote that song about her. It turned out, she was Brandi Brandt.
