I stopped fangirling (kpop in general) from 2018-2020 (sometimes getting some updates about SVT but didn't participate in voting and streaming), came back in Left & Right and Home Run era (2020), then stopped again from 2021-2023. Now, I'm home again in 2024. My first reason for stopping was for self-growth (just graduated from uni and looking for a job). I was guilty that time for not being with them. Until 2020 I lost my job and was jobless for several months and I was comforted by Kidult and The8's words of wisdom. The next time I stopped again, I did not have the same guilt anymore bcoz of The8's comforting words. Now, I'm back with Maestro and keep on streaming and voting. I was at the store with my dad today, and I heard "ulgo sipji anha" playing somewhere in the store(it's huge btw) and I thought it was just another song that sounded similar, but then I heard "nunmureun manhjiman" and I was freaking out because they were playing it. My dad was like are you okay and I just ran off towards it. My dad walked after me and I explained that they were playing kpop and he was like oh I thought that's what it was. So then I walked closer to where it was playing and it was coming from a speaker underneath one of the check out lines and I was smiling so big and I was so proud. I explained to my dad why I was so happy because some people judge it for not being in English. He then asked if they sang in Korean and I was taken back because he wanted to know more about it and I was just like this is one of the best days.
