I think of how far Seventeen has come as a boy group who started with promoting themselves to people passing by on the street to a highly respected group performing to thousands of fans. As their 5 year anniversary occurs, I think of the once teenage boys are now role models respected by new idol groups. I started crying at 4:50 when they were given the ring as a symbol of the group and a promise that 13 of them will all stick together no matter what. Song is not like a movie where we have more than 1 hour to express our message, it's also not similar to a novel/book in general where we can pick up messages from a barrage of words. Song just exists under 5 mins, but Seventeen DID THE BEST JOB EVER when they express their opinions, feelings, and all, through not only lyrics, but the rhythm, the melody, their voices and real actions through daily effort. I love this group so much. They're not fake. They don't try to act like someone else, they don't change themselves for people to like them, they dont pretend to be funny (cause its actually funny)they show who they really are (being awkward, dorky, and crazy) and I think that's their best asset. They're also really kind and humble that I wish all boys were like them. These boys are so special. The thing that made me cry the most was the rings. Because they were taken away from them so close to debut, and they had to put in so much effort to get them back. The entire video was just me remembering Pre-Debut seventeen videos (even though I joined super late) they inspire me, 'if seventeen can stay up practicing all night then I can at least get through my work.' I am also hoping that PLEDIS will really continue to release this kind of videos of SVT. Anyway, our boys are the 'self-producing idols' , so I guess, they will always have the right to do almost whatever to their music and videos. Sometimes I think that SEVENTEEN is the only happy pills that can cure my sadness. I know I looked silly for having thoughts like that but they really could make me happy and let myself forget about the sadness. something i will always cherish about seventeen is that they are genuinely passionate about their job as idols. like i know people joke that some idols don't become idols because they actually want to be idols instead they just want shallow fame, but when I see SEVENTEEN I don't see that. I see 13 people who genuinely just want to sing and dance on stage. they pour their heart out in every single stage and they never forget their small beginnings. i've never seen idols love kpop so much and love being kpop idols so much. and its their love and respect for kpop that makes them truly give 10000% every time. it is what makes them such great idols because they are truly being idols because this is something they chose. they admire the people before them and they truly want to show people what this generation of kpop has to offer the same way 2nd gen kpop is what made them be here in the first place. and that kind of drive of passion and determination is why I like SEVENTEEN so much and why they're one group that I feel like I'll always listen to for the rest of my life. because i like their music so much. because i like their drive so much. and i like them as people. them being attractive is a bonus, but it's definitely their genuine passion that makes me like them a lot. of course they aren't going to be 100% themselves on camera, but their raw passion and determination, it's as raw as ever and it doesn't have a filter. and that's what i truly love about them.

My nino (dad's brother) just passed away yesterday so I was really sad and my husband cheol and my babies (all the boys) cheered me up. We or I at least feel like I don't deserve them. they work super hard to achieve their dreams and make us happy. If only I could express to them how much Seventeen means to me. Seventeen has become home, a safe place to sleep and rest your tired mind or a loving place to heal your heart. I am proud to csll Seungcheol my ult bias and Seventeen ny ub group. These boys never cease to make me laugh, cry, smile, and every emotion in between. They're so loving and kind and they really do light up my world. Seventeen thank you for walking into my life. Ok for real, I started tearing up when the audio switched from the recorded song to the concert audio with all the Carats singing in the background in unison T____T Then Wonwoo's part came, and you could hear the Carats SO CLEARLY alongside his gorgeous deep voice.... and I began to actually CRY. I feel so proud to be a Carat~ because these boys... with everything they've gone through, how much they care, how much work and passion they put into their music: they truly deserve the world.
