This medley of 3 songs shows 'the course of true love never did run smooth'. The first song is about the transience of love -night into day, spring and summer with the onset of winter and how those persistent feelings of ill-will are always hard on the heels of life. The second song 'love is a series of dreams' is equally futile in its interpretation of love - that on waking up, he finds he doesn't have any power over his desires mor emotions. And when he chases their dreams with his partner, it'll come to nothing if her heart's not in it. The third song 'I Do' sees the singer taking a stand in the course of love. Has it been a coaster -ride for JM, switching from one song to another- perhaps we can catch a low sigh of relief behind his 'thank- you'?

Does the selection of songs work well in this medley? The first song "cold stars disappear' is a background song, while the second one 'Life is a series of dreams' a commentary song while the third 'I Do' is a direct invitation to commit to love. While sticking to similar genres is good, contrasting genres can make a medley stand out. So, how about including a Tibetan, Uighur or Dong folk song? As for song strengths, the song 'I Do' is a strong song that won't let itself be subordinated to third place. Just my two cents, What do you think?
