Ashu's role is so much important in this movie... A girl was chosen to act like a boy.. The reason is just look at the face expressions of this girl who has acted beautifully... You cannot train these things to any kid, it just comes out naturally.. And to add on top of that: a girl child is born talented and learn new things pretty quickly when compared to a boy kid.. Kudos to the director on understanding the importance of Ashu's role and gave the chance to a girl to act like a boy 😊

Anwar here from the film! Thank You all for appreciating this auspicious film. We shot this back in 2007. I was a struggling single actor with very long hair when the makers saw their ‘Anwar' in me (minus the accent) I was asked to carry the accent by Rajiv, the director, perhaps to make our characters stand out, esp. Karanuday’s I presume (we're still good friends btw) - cut to - 2024, I'm showing this film to my lovely kids on this very auspicious occasion of 'Ganesh Chaturthi' :) Time flies, memories stay.
