No big deal! Just switching to eat Basmati rice instead of Jasmine or Thai rice. There are so many decent people that originally from South Asia, and being considered as our fellow Hongkongers. Cheers!

Aman is a good man. Working hard to take care for his family. Wife doesn’t look like a shy person and she is so cheerful and positive. So happy for you both.
@@ccheung8859 You're on the right track. When the Brits took HK in 1841, they didn't trust the local Chinese; so they hired Indians (mostly from the former East India Company) as policemen to maintain law and order. In order to exert their authority, these Indian cops would often threaten to "CHARGE" the Chinese with one crime or another if their commands were not obeyed. Not knowing a lot of English, the locals called them 阿差, an imperfect and loose translation of 阿 "Charg". BTW, I've never heard anyone calling them 阿茶.
okay, I understand he's Indian and you can't really control what strangers have to say about your husband on the daily, but I still think you should be a little more stern in your approach. This is not because the word 'ah cha' will hurt his feelings, but it's important to educate others to treat people of other ethnicities with respect.
