You only need to install the Epic Games app and from there you can install Fortnite. You will not have the complete game if you are using a Mac M1. That is due to the Apple vs. Epic Games battle…

What fps are you running at?

Around 60 fps if you play natively on the M1 mac 13 inches. If you use Geforce now you will have access to more variants of the game and close to 100 or 120 fps. Also 100/120 fps with the M1 Pro or M1 Max.
