M151A2 MUTT - IMAGES IN VIETNAM WAR

Only TOW equipped M151A2's deployed to Vietnam as the TOW was added to their chassis. All others were basic or A1 models. The one A2 shown has a ROPS installed way after 1987. (You can tell an A2 by the composite front and rear taillights sunk into the front fender. Thank You for assembling a nice vignette of MUTTS.

My 1966 M151A1 is like a bookmark in history. The images of those of us who drove or rid in them comeback like it was yesterday.

I notice a lot of the jeeps with the wind shield down didnt have a bar wielded to the front bumper ,that was a must

The vertical bar acted as a wire cutter to prevent the decapitation of the driver and passengers if there was a wire strung across the road, some just simply didn't have them

Yea we had our bar on our jeep all the time am surprise that wasnt standard issue for m151 jeeps

it probably was for scout jeeps and front line jeeps , though not many things are reinforced.

I wanted to watch this, but I had to give it up. I can't stand photos that are moving all over the place - they're irritating as hell. Why can't people just show the slideshow and let the photos sit still?? It's like looking at an art school project.
