Ehi Tasos, do you still need that petrol after you're done with the testing? Can I have it? It's $9/gallon here...lol Kidding aside they're good products. Now we need someone to make intake manifolds.

Okay Tasos 99% of all the weird errors and shifting problems had to do with aftermarket batteries. Both replaced with OEM Mercedes and all problems solved. We should have replaced the wiring harness of the M113K engine with a new one as this one seems to short circuit here and there causing misfires. Plan is to replace all coilpacks, ignition coil cables, new plugs and the whole new wiring harness. I guess after that ALL issues will be gone :-)

As far as the air leakage is concerned, oil will leak much more slowly and with sustained pressure from the engine, it works flawlessly.

Can you recommend any aftermarket camshafts and lifters for these engines?
@nickbadolato90792 жыл бұрын
You don't need any aftermarket camshafts. The only lifters you need are the SLS lifters or the Black series lifters. Both can be bought from Mercedes.

Wait so the lifters cause the cams to wear out there's no design flaw in the cam?

Better then 63 motorsport in design. Definitely a better product. I mean better from the pin area. Both are good. But this one better.

You’d need to see the intake cam mix factor to make sure that the system is phasing accurately. What makes these replacements actually worth it is ensuring that the angles are always at optimum location as requested by the ECU. If it lags at anywhere less than 60% of where the cams are supposed to be you’ll never get the power out of these engines. Stage I will maintain 60% of reference and higher. And at that will only stay there for a split microsecond and maintain peak timing. Stage II will be at 75% and Stage III is even higher. Datalogs all done by third party on fresh oil. The bushing looks like it is half the ID of the solenoid oil supply hole. It effectively will be the bottleneck in the system if there will be one.

Once the phaser is unlocked, which happens seconds after the engine starts, the bushing and lock pin are without function. The chambers in the phaser are fed from the normal oil passages.

@@Kates-dead-goon Correct. There are several instances that the phaser unlock happens. Anything emissions related highway coasting, idle, slow speed, etc.

The extra protection at high mileage of wearing the plate such as the cam will hold the pressure at advance position and it will not be funny when it's worn out. I can see damage on pin but not the plate. One thing good about 63 motorsport they sent new pins too. Both are good but in this one I can see more life. Stages can't talk about. Because it's upto tuner and oil pressure and cams to work with. Not my field of expertise.

@@zmrmilind Both pins and plates are higher strength and durability as far as Rockwell C scores go. They are both similar in strength as the inner gear (which never wears) The Stage I also underwent a revision “+” status due to market issues on sourcing material and indeed went up on durability. I believe the bushing pressed fit in the video is 55-60RC. You have to be careful as that material can have a tendency to get brittle. Stage II you’ll see no wear after 45,000 miles in all driving condition. Stage I is probably going to deform slightly after 100,000 miles (5 thou of an inch) and stop the wear due to compression strength from use (you’ve essentially compressed the alloy to a very dense material it won’t erode similar to the planing you see on stock plates). Stage III builds off of the previous stages and exponentially strengthened not only in RC but in material composition in all core, intermediate, and surface layers. One would need an electron microscope to review where the layers mix. Find a good tuner that is easy to reach. Eightysixtuned is a definite one to reach out to.
