M16 Bayonet Knife

These do not quite fit the AR bayonet lug. Not sure if it is loss tolerances in manufacturing or if they are made too tight on purpose, but expect to do a bit of work to get it to fit on your rifle. It does look like a great copy of the original though, and I do not know anyplace that sells this replica for this price, so I do not mind a bit of work.

Jesse it looks more like a poor replica of a chopped down M-1 Garand Bayonet. The M-7 bayonet made for the M-16 never had a blood groove.

They are no where NEAR fitting on an AR lug. It's not just a little tight the cut is ALL wrong.

How did you get yours to fit?

@@Go_Cart That was many years ago, but all I had to do is take a jeweler's file and take off a decent amount of material to the inside of the rail that the lug fits into. A friend of mine got one too. His did not have enough material to shave it down into place, so with that in mind, it might be a bad idea to purchase this if you plan on putting it on the AR lug.

these are good for 10 bucks HOWEVER the 2 I ordered required modification to actually fit the bayonet lug. luckily mine where too tight so a bit of filing and they fit now. I love me some BUDK deals!

This Knife Is awesome quality. One downside: it has the words STAINLESS CHINA on the other side, which is who the enemy was in vietnam.

I wish you would have shown it mounted to an AR15. I bought one and mine wouldn't mount. The area where it clicks on the bayonet was too small.

I have tried this product on three AR-15's of friends and it will not mount on any of them. What gives Budk? Edit, this bayonet can be filed a bit and made to fit a M590A1.

For a little over 20, you can get a new or used M7. Carbon steel. Parkerized. I would highly recommend getting that over this...thing. This thing is kind of an eyesore.

I bought one of these for my S&W M&P Sport II. Big disappointment - it does not fit! Also it is NOT a replica of the M7 bayonet. Not even close. The blades are different lengths, shapes, and colors from each other. The ring fits over the birdcage just fine, but the attachment mechanism is machined wrong, it is too narrow to fit onto the rifle's bayonet lug. Not only that, the two sides of the opening are not parallel. The opening is wider at one end than at the other. So now I have a big, cheap, shiny knife. I saw another of these at a gun show last Saturday. I checked and that one also had the poor machining. It was wider at one end. I could rework the machining with a file or a dremel tool, maybe. Instead, I gave up on cheap and bought the real deal, a milspec M7-B from Ontario Knife Co., who actually makes them for the military. It fits just fine and I am happy.

It doesn't fit on my S&W M&P Sport either, but I'd rather file on cheap Knife than a 800.00 rifle, so, I'll spend a little time with a file and by god, I'll make it fit.

It does NOT fit on a rifle. I tried to mount it on my M-4 (M-16) and the barrel/muzzle hole is TOO small!!!
