Great unboxing! just a heads up clear hardshell cases are not good for your macbook (i had to learn the hard way). It puts unnecessary pressure on your screen/display and tend to slow down venting which can cause your macbook to overeat more. I had one on my 2019 macbook air and I never dropped it. When I took off the case 3 years later when I was trading my laptop in there were dents/bends int he metal on the corners of my macbook.

Don’t use a case. It will heat up the computer and slow it down.

A case is good if you don’t have a computer sleeve or don’t want one. Some hard covers do damage it, but that’s only a few

I have a MacBook Air from 2015…I want to get a new laptop this year because the cord to charge my laptop is destroyed…it’s like on its last leg…so much fraying…I think because there might be mice chewing the cord or how else could it end up like this…anyway…the battery life sucks too so I might just get a MacBook Pro this summer

I know some people say you shouldn't have a case because it reduces dissipation of heat but if you are going to be taking it around in a rucksack or bag, some form of protection is a really good idea. The anodised body is tough but it will scratch if you have keys or whatever next to it in the same bag while you are moving around. A sleeve is another option. Just so you know, an actual case will slow down the laptop slightly.

yes in such case, a sleeve is a much better option. The clear plastic casing will cause the MBA to trap more heat and then spoil the internal.

just keep saving any small change you have, and i sorted through any old clothes or bits i had around my room and listed them over a long period of time and then was able to eventually afford a new one!! goodluck saving
