M23 leader vows to push on in DR Congo • FRANCE 24 English

Thousands of people have gathered in Goma to hear from the leader of the M23 rebels, the group behind the conflict in eastern DR Congo. Corneille Nangaa called for a minute's silence for victims of his fighters' takeover of the city, before warning of more unrest and vowing to drive out the government.

@@Djamonja DRC government killed most of our people in eastern Congo because we speak Kinyarwanda and we look like Tutsi's, they tried to send us to Rwanda saying that's where we came from but We born there our families lived there too for more than a millenium ago. To cut story short, that's where M23 came from trying to fight for our rights luckly Goma is the safest place for everybody right now.

Africa doesn't want American loans anymore. We dont want to use the dollar. If Africa can unite and then link the continent currency to the resources the dollar would fall like a stone. African countries could give eachother loans for infrastructure and departments. We dont need gold or diamonds. We would focus on Agriculture, infrastructure,education and skills development and African style research. We have all we need here in Africa. If outside influences can just leave us alone. I beg to defer with M23's action because in the long run it might backfire on M23 and Rwanda leadership. My polite advice would be a peaceful dialogue between DRC and M23. The rightful approach could have been AU to revisit the mistake was created by colonial administration to divide families. The beauty of this would be a process for resolving the past mistake imicably without loss of lives. To end repeative tensions and political crisis between divided communities.
