People already forget about how Mobutu was removed, Rwanda and Uganda helped the late Laurent Desire Kabila who angered them by telling them to leave the DRC when they rebelled against him he called on Angola, Zimbabwe and Namibia, but little Zimbabwe held Ndjili Airport for day’s fighting the Rwandan and Ugandan rebel troops pushing them out of Kinshasa by use of superior air ground powe. Biggest question now is did Rwanda and Uganda forget the debt owed by DRC no these two Rwanda and Uganda fought in Kisangani on Congolese soil let that sink in. Banyamulenge kadoko’s at the time helped Kabila to get DRC then Zaire from Mobutu grew up to become men. So from RCD Goma rebels to integration into a new military FARDC (Previously named F.A.C)under the former president Joseph Kabila after peace talks, but guess what they rebelled against the same government remember General Nkunda , then came M23 Bosco Ntanganda the man who apparently was taken in by Rwanda under pressure sent to the ICCC )”who were routed by the UN intervention brigade. Now the mistake the new Tshisekedi government made was telling the UN to leave noting they had everything under control when historically Congolese militaries have been plagued by corruption, mutiny and no to non existent logistical support, to soldiers not being paid for months on, to extrajudicial killings of top commanders on the ground Colonel Mamadou Ndala being the most prominent who was responsible for stopping the M23 with help from the UN intervention brigades Air Force. So let it sink in from the Siege of JadotVille now Likasi in the 60’s to Goma today teaches us the UN isn’t new to the Congo but this mission was the biggest , most expensive mission ever made by the UN. Congo DR and her minerals are like a curse to its people due to government corruption.

The war with M23 started because of years of discrimination, broken promises, and persecution against Tutsi Congolese in eastern DRC. This isn’t just some random rebellion. it’s the result of decades of conflict and government failures. M23 was originally formed in 2012 by former fighters from the CNDP, a group that was mostly made up of Tutsi Congolese. In 2009, the Congolese government made a peace deal with them, promising to integrate them into the national army and protect Tutsi communities from attacks by groups like the FDLR, which is made up of Hutu extremists, including those responsible for the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. But the Congo government didn’t keep its word. Instead of fully integrating them, they started marginalizing them, arresting their leaders, and allowing continued attacks on Tutsi villages. So in 2012, these soldiers mutinied and formed M23, naming it after the March 23 agreement that the government broke. They were defeated in 2013, but they came back in 2021 because nothing changed. Tutsi Congolese were still being attacked, the government still treated them like foreigners, and the FDLR was still operating in the region without any consequences. M23 took up arms again because, from their perspective, they had no choice. And yeah, Rwanda backs M23, that’s true, but that doesn’t mean M23 is made up of Rwandans. The majority of them are Tutsi Congolese who feel abandoned by the Congo government and are fighting for their survival. If the government had honored its agreements and treated all its people fairly, this war might never have happened.

I live in Zambia, Congo is badly run country i. For example, Truck driver form the southern Africa transporting goods to Congo via Zambia are often harmed-even killed- by people and police .
