I have a 15 M235i , be honest do you recommend MHD OR just go with BM3 ?, was going to go with JB4 ,but I figured in the long run I’d take a flash tune.

i think it’s personal preference, for me mhd was the better option because it was significantly cheaper and a lot easier to flash the car. i’m also a lot more familiar with the platform as i’ve never used bm3

@@PrimusAutowerks I second this. I previously had an e90 335i (n55) and MHD was basically the only option (for a non-piggyback) because bootmod3 wasn’t making tunes for that car. Now I have an F22 M235i and figured I’d go with MHD since I know exactly how it works and it’s cheaper (also very easy to monitor and log). I have nothing but good things to say about MHD (then again I don’t have experience with any other tuning platform, but hey if I like it that’s all that matters). I watched a video where this guy said that bootmod3 is generally more conservative than MHD, again, I don’t have experience with bootmod3 so I can’t verify. I know that it’s popular for guys with e9x cars to start off with a JB4 and then once they max out their stock turbo(s), they will upgrade the turbo(s) and flash an MHD BEF. TLDR: You can’t go wrong with MHD.

Hi buddie, some questions: - do you need jb4 to install MHD tunes? - If you want to change settings for exhaust burble you need to buy it again or you can just reflash it? - what's the difference between stage 2 And 2+? Thanks!

You don’t need jb4, to change the exhaust burble you just need to reflash the car, and for stage 2 + it is recommended to have an upgraded intercooler where as in stage 2 you don’t.
