It's because the Sherman 75 isn't a great gun, it struggles against anything with armor. But the M24 is a small chassis with good mobility. Still doesn't have armor, but that mobility and smaller profile let's you actually get around and be harder to see. It's about the same size as a Panzer instead of being a mobile apartment building like the Sherman's are. Don't get me wrong the Sherman's with the 75mm are still ok, but they aren't as good as the chaffee. The Chaffee is just more meta.

APHE irl explodes in a cone instead of in a sphere like in game. iirc from testing done by the US army after WW2 the damage wasnt much better than solid shot as both incapacitated a target after a sucessfull pen. Plus humans have this "nasty habit" of being afraid, leaving the vehicle and escaping when they see a large hole in the armor along with their friend turning into red paste.

My brother thought i was joking when i kept calling the M24 the destroyer of worlds. Its odd that i find it worse at its own BR due to the OP KV-1 spam than at higher BRs lol. Statistical balancing works so well guys. The KV-1 is "under performing".

It's not really that "overpowered" at it's BR. The thing that really needs to go up are the KV-1's. Those are blatantly broken OP. It's bizarre that people think the M24 is bad but don't seem to bat an eye at the KV-1s

@@fire_drake12.arc.24 I never said it was overpowered, it certainly is an excellent light tank with its only bad showing is the gun against the heavier tanks like the kv1's or even some churchills. I think it would be healthier for the game if lower tier 2.7 tanks didn't have to face it, like the M5A1 is just not really a match against the chaffee and at 4.0 there aren't any new problems for the M24 that it already doesn't have at 3.7, also I do think the Kv-1 b and e are definitely busted especially because of the weird volumetric stuff that happens on their turrets and should go up to compensate but it's never going to happen since they're premiums
