Nothing beats the curly cord hanging down and plugged into the cig lighter. Old school for me and my m2 CS Sometimes I velcro sticky it to the dash if I want a stealth look

Surprised you haven’t made an harness adapter for the rear view mirror. Much easier way to source power.

I recently switched from a Uniden R3 to the new R4. I prefer the compact R3/R4 body style over the bigger R7/R8. VortexRadar is a great resource for deciding what to buy.

Super informative video, I just bought an R7 with a BlendMount for my M235i, same car basically. I also liked how you did NOT do a wire tap into the mirror and instead hard-wired it to the fuse panel- that's the correct way to do it. Nice work!

I have been running mirror tap for 6 years without any issues 🤷🏻‍♂️ so much easier in my opinion.

He gave a reason for the R7, but not the mirror tap. He straight up was like "I don't like it." But why!? Also, when he was grounding, he said something to the extent of "it's not ideal to ground to aluminum, but" then cut scene. So we still need to know 1) why not tap the mirror and 2) why fine w grounding to aluminum?

No, I didn't watch the entire video so thanks for the timestamp. I don't need a tutorial on a custom install; I've been doing custom installs well before Matt made any radar detector videos
