I see a lot of excitement for the hardcore stuff... But personally I don't like it very much, matches with a lot of bits and tools are used as way to cover up for the lack of ability of the wrestlers, and that's not the case, they are both very capable and the match was really enjoayable before they got the barbed wire, glass and stuff... ANYWAY this is a thing that's special because these guys are supposed to hate each other (keyfabe) so the level of violence is adequate to the level of hatred portrayed in the build up of the rivalry so WELL DONE. Also it was a 3 stages of hell so I get that they used something different in the different stages.

Unquestionably the most brutal and gruesome match the Temple has seen since Cero Miedo back at Ultima Lucha 1. This one wasn't QUITE as sadistic or gory (they didn't use thumbtacks or light tubes, not since an errant broken light tube flew into the audience during Cero Miedo and nearly took a woman's head off) but it was also a technical and psychological masterpiece as well as a savage bloody spectacle. Killshot and Dante Fox are two of the best workers on the entire show and this rivalry was absolutely INTENSE all season. If the show gets renewed and they both come back for Season 4, I bet at least one of them will become champion at some stage, if not both.

Lucha Underground Should Be Getting Way More Views And Buzz. This Match Was The Most Extreme Hardcore Match I've Seen In Wrestling In YEARS!! The WWE Hasn't Had A Match This Hardcore And Extreme Since During The Attitude Era. And I'm Talking The 90s At That Like 1998-1999. 4rm 2000-2017 The WWE Hasn't Even Been This Extreme And Violent. Ashame How Some PPL Call Themselves "Wrestling Fans" But Only Watch That Bullshit "WWE" That Is Corny,Boring And A Shell of It's Former Self. Lucha Underground Is Where It's At. We Need A Season 4 Because If We Don't Then Wrestling Might Aswell Just Die Because The WWE And TNA Both Suck.

When I was a kid I watched a lot of ECW (the original of '94-2000) and I really liked it beacuse there were different things (normal wrestling, lucha, some guys from Japan, hardcore, lots of tables) as opposed to WWE and WCW (most WWF rather than WCW).Now I gladly watch those matches again but I notice a few things 1) They don't really hurt each other so much 2) Most of the things they use are props 3) The avarage quality of the matches is poor\cheesy 4) Now I know that they were on various drugs and painkillers during those matches (so they didn't really felt much). I really think that even raising the level of fake violence doesn't make it less fake and that I prefer matches where people show some skill rather than brandishing a kendo stick and wobble around the ring (sorry Sandman, though kendo stick masturbation is still a classic). Don't get me wrong LU is neat and the format is innovative (should be exported) and modern(the length is the same of othere "more noble" TV series).
