Small Correction: I didn't realize that the Stat for Will Of Cadmus was rounded up, not down. So my average of 4 should have been an average of 5, with 6 being totally possible Larger Correction: It was clarified in the 2021 FAQ/Errata that Cadmus models can NOT relent against enemies and can NOT pass healing to one another if at full health.

Spider-themed factions has always been cool in my opinion, as well as "swarm" type gameplay, so I've been looking at getting a Cadmus crew. This video was very helpful and interesting. Great content, will sub.

Yes, it's been clarified in the 2021 FAQ/Errata that you have to have missing health to pass healing

Great video - informative, deep and balanced. Cadmus looks really steep to learn, but extremely strong once mastered. Which Keywords would you say have some key advantages versus Cadmus if we assume both players are experienced? The section discussing Harata shows the Hopeful Prospect's picture a second time instead.

Thanks for the kind words! Off the top of my head I would say Big Hat has the tools for fighting Cadmus - card draw, good shooting blast attacks, and TwoCard/General for defending against throwaway attacks and simple duels. It's not a free win or anything like that though, Cadmus are probably the best crew in the game when mastered. It's unfortunate I didn't catch that editing mistake, I'm gonna try not to let it bother me too much :)

22:19 "Draughts" is correct. A 'draught' refers to a serving of liquid. It's a fancy way of saying potion"

Yea, I know. It's "drafts" like a "Beer Draft" but seeing "draught" and not pronouncing it "draw-t" is so unintuitive haha

also the combo spelleater + archivist, turning 2 shielded in 2 focus, is pretty strong, also u can summon 3 eyes, 1 is turned in husk by meredith, second killed by some friend (so draw a card for meredith and drop a corpse) now cryptologist can do looted supplies and you have the 5th token (a corpse) to transmute the third eyes with meredith

Providing Focused is probably the Spelleater's best feature but I'm fine with using Nexus for that 1st turn and spending the 7 stones on something else. Killing your own EaE is not something I considered. My initial feeling is that's a pretty steep price because of all the things even a 1 Health EaE can be used for.

She can technically do 8 damage. Severe is 4 Ram trigger +1 Second parasite token +2 Red Joker in damage flip +1

It's all her actions, but each one needs to be done through a different model.

Most Keywords in Malifaux are beginner-friendly, having a super complex one like Cadmus is uncommon.

I am new to malifaux and fking dumb. There is a chance you won't even answer me cause the video is 2 years old but here I go: Why does relenting with an EaE against a parasited enemy make the damage flip double negative?

It has been a long time, but I believe the logic was that since the EaE treats the enemy as a friendly model, relenting against an attack would make the result of the duel an automatic tie just like relenting against any normal attack. However, if I remember correctly this was FAQ'd to not work later on, so check for yourself and if so, don't worry about it.

So the Al Gore Rhythms prefer longer videos, and your sections, time stamps and regular format make it possible to follow longer videos (a LOT of nerd game videos are terrible and rambling, structure is good!)
