Camp Life: ATV Ride/ Hippie Castle/ Waterfall/ Whole Chicken on a Campfire & Beer !

Hey ! Thanks for checking out my video !
In this video Wendell and I goto my camp in Nova Scotia to meet up with my father and Benny (his dog) to go for an ATV ride to a "Hippie Castle" and to a Waterfall. After that we head back to the camp to cook up a meal over an open fire using the custom Grill my father made. We do a few other things but you'll have to watch and see what that is.

Hey maritimer, they closed the swinging bridge trail because the club (or anyone for that matter) doesn’t what to sign off on liability of the bridge. It’s been a battle for a very long time and just recently was boarded up and closed off. Maybe like 5 years ago.

Yep, it's too bad eh, I loved that trail and the bridge was really cool. The last time I was on that trail, it may actually have been closed off... haha it's been a while.

I dont know how old it is or anything but It's definitely not like the castles over in the UK and stuff, this was probably build in the 70's 80's by some people looking to make a venue to have small outdoor concerts at. thats all I know... thanks so much ! sometimes its hard to get videos out on the regular but I try. thanks again !

Whoa, I really liked this video because it's what I look for in my own trips.... time with my wife/family/friends, appreciating nature and being in it enjoying a mellow day doing some exploring, having a good dog hanging around, cooking amazing food over a campfire for dinner, and putting away a few suds to top it off before sleeping like a baby in the cool fresh overnight air. Hey thanks buddy ! we are lucky to have the trails we have, it's all b/c of the clubs, volunteers and sometimes the government isn't blind and can see an economic benefit off having ATV'ers come into smaller towns.

it's near the Cobiquid Tolls, there is a fire road that runs along side of the Highway, follow it part the tolls (as if you were going to Truro from Amherst. after a few KM you will see a well worn path on your Right, take it and follow right to the castle. Someone owns the land, and doesn't mind ATV'er coming to see the castle, but just try nd be respectful, which i'm sure you will.

Hey !! thanks buddy ! oh yeah, wendell has no idea he's a small dog lol fearless lol yeah we wanted a dog that wasn't too big and wasn't boring and that would go on adventures with us. I have a video called something like "Car Camping - hiking Mount Sagamook" and wendell hikes that with us and it was by far the hardest hike i've ever done, he did it with ease haha

Great video. As much as it's nice to get out on your own and blow off some steam, it's nice to sometimes share the experiences with someone. My father and law and I do alot of trips together, like this. Mix some fishing, camping into our adventures and it's a good time. He doesn't want to be on KZbin though so I can't share those Haha. yeah man it's such a cool spot, unfortunately the land owner closed the trail off to goto it... my guess is guys went there and spun up the grass or left a big mess. it's too bad, it's such a cool spot.

Hey ! really glad to hear you liked the vlog style video ! the lights were easy to make, just a bunch of used shot gun shells and glue/epoxy them over some LED christmas lights. Ahhhh we left all those bottles there, it was like a old old dump site, really cool old bottles. no garbage down in the water though. I found a few bottles years ago and took them home to put in the man cave haha

Hey Q !!! ho doesn't love Blueberries !! haha There wasn't much dust b/c we were driving so slow haha dad goes at a slower pace and he said he didn't want to kick up any dust. Yeah man that castle thing is pretty cool, and oh man I must have got you drunk..... hahaha I don't know what those green things are called but they come off the long grass and get caught in his beard lol Chicken was great !and I love Asparagus too ! people hate on vegetables but I just think they over cook them or cook them in a boring way haha (boiling) Yeah those shot gun lights and wash board lights are pretty cool, dads always working on something, ahhhhh dads like 66 now. Oh man that sucks, it was closed the last time I went to go there a few years ago, then I heard they re-opened it... and now it's closed again. it's the small few that ruin it for the rest of us. the Owner should set up some nice trail cam's and catch the losers who are doing it.

unfortunately the Castle is off limits now.... my guess is people went there and spun up the grass or left a big mess and the land owner closed it all down. I don't have any way points but if you watch my video "Camp Weekend: 130km ride..." I give some good directions to the castle and the waterfall.
