The k24a2 no turbo is basically the closest thing you can get to the m3 motor.. think you gain 30 hp on the Honda too! Fun looking ride tho!

Bbbbbbbbbuuuttt the PuRiTy!!! A turbo Honda motor in an e30? Sounds like pure fun to me! Tbh the stock m20 is fairly mid in the e30. Just enough oomph to make the car fun but that’s about it. A stock k24 in an e30 would be a lot more fun, nice rev happy high rpm experience to go out in the twisties. Add a big turbo - now that will put a tickle in your pickle! Hope to see more of this and you stepping out of your comfort zone from time to time.

I should've k swapped my e34. Did a lot of work to it, had a m20b27 bottom end from a 325e with the b25 head from the e34, 5spd swap from a 325is which took months to get the output flange and other bullshit parts from Germany. The car was beautiful and ran great, but was an electrical nightmare which was why i ended up selling it. Should've kept it. Eager to see more from your e30 when weather permits!

@@DekadentGarage you need to add an e30 coolant temp sensor for it to read on the cluster. If not you can use your hondata app. The air pocket just becomes a pain to bleed. You need to use a vacuum bleeder or a bleeder funnel.

@@agilee30 ive got the e30 coolant temp sensor, all the wiring is good. it was barely getting a reading because there was an air pocket there. i bled it with one of those funnel kits from harbor freight, it shows up now more or less

@ I had a 450 in mine but it hardly fit at all. Might be why the level sensor doesn’t work. If I ever build another one I’m gonna do a surge tank like E30Joel. Also a wild Ethan Thomas spotting 👀

us Aussies are always scratching our head at the claimed hp figures on unopened motors, in my opinion, 500hp on those stock thin little rods is really pushing it, and you would 100% have to be on e85 only, ofcourse a larger turbo will help keep the stress off the bottom end, but i see so many video's claiming over 600hp on these motors on stock rods claiming its safe, yea its possible but without block braces that drop into the coolant galories and rods i don't think over the 400hp mark is safe, just my 2c

It’s mostly the hard engine mounts I had old school Hondas with k swap and hard mounts and they buzz like crazy on the other hand I have a daily 2015 civic Si with k24 from the factory and you don’t feel nothing k series engines are really smooth on stock form and I have a e36 with m52 with poly engine and trans mounts and has the same buzzing feeling
