If the iPad is your main device or is being used more often the not as a second screen than the 13" is the way to go. For 95% of users who are looking at emails, watching movies, reading books etc...the 11" is the best bang for your buck. The use case scenario that you and many KZbinrs are reviewing this for is for a very small minority of users and is really not representative of how most people will use this device. The 11" complements or is an accessory to your main system such as a Mac studio etc. Its silly to get the 13" and then your other system is just sitting not getting used, especially if its not that old and you spent a lot of money for it. The only thing they might notice is the screen contrast/brightness/blacks, but performance wise, it will perform the same as the M1 for their use case. Of course if you throw a bunch of benchmarks at it, the M4 is going to come out overwhelmingly on top, but that's not most peoples use case or even close to their normal workload. Hi I have a big doubt regarding which screen size should I buy the 11 or 13 I'm a photographer and cinematographer...my use for the iPad would be very broad, such as using apps to control lights in the studio, using the iPad as a monitor for the drone...as well as answering emails and drawing light maps... I've already been to the Apple store to see the 2 models in person and I still haven't decided. This decision is really difficult. What would be your opinion?

Well sounds like you need more screen with all the work you have to do, so I'd go with 13". What did you choose?

Hey Max, great video as always! But I spotted something, which kind irritates me. You show the difference in video at 1:41 and there is some kind of glowing on top black bar of the iPad Pro 11“. Which isn’t visable on the 13“ Model, is it and screenissue or some like that? Looked like the fire glowed to high, but how. Maybe someone can explain it too me. Thanks in Advance

@MaDDeX934 ай бұрын
Grat video but it’s not an easy pick even after watching this video. The problem is the speaker quality on 11” which sounds a lot worse than 13” and that’s a major deal for me. More consistent performance on 13” is a big deal for me too. But at the same time I have no need for such a huge display. Sometimes I would place it on the table to watch videos at home, sometimes I would watch movies at the airplane, sometimes at the bed holding in my hands. Often I would play demanding games stationary and in handheld mode. So how do I pick the right one for me?

After my GCSEs I’m looking to buy an iPad Pro, and I’m not sure between getting the 13 inch or 11 inch, if I were to get the 11 inch I was wondering if it is worth also getting a monitor so I could use an external keyboard and mouse with the monitor and iPad while at home at my desk, but then I could just use the iPad when I’m at school for example. What do you think? Is there any point also getting a monitor, and should I go 11 inch or 13 inch?

@williss99956 ай бұрын
Max tech makes good suggestions. I own a 13 now but have owned 11 and 12.9 sizes. There are benefits and trade offs to either size. For example the 11 is lighter, more portable and easier to handle one-handed. The 13 affords a greater viewing area, more work space and a more comfortable keyboard. In addition in everyday 13 use you’ll likely spend less time scrolling compared to the 11 inch size. Unlike desktops iPads offer the luxury of being used seated on a chair a couch or a desk. The down side is the high cost of Apple ownership. Apple up charges are more burdensome with the addition of a detachable keyboard or upgrade to 16Gb of Ram. To purchase or not is your choice but as a current 13 owner I would suggest you stick with the iPad you have. Yes new iPads are faster, lighter and brighter but the user experience is exactly the same as the iPad you own. Only now near double the price! In other words it’s much like moving up to a one year newer iPhone. You’re going to pay more but the experience is the same.

@thisISyouish6 ай бұрын
@@premiXP Yes, it's suitable for designers, but the cost isn't just about hundreds of dollars. The iPad itself is pricey, and additional purchases like the keyboard and Pencil Pro drive the total cost up to laptop range, surpassing the price of a MacBook Air. The price-to-value ratio is extremely skewed. then u pair the strong hardware with too soft ipadOS like it doesnt seems right. not worth a thousand centsss

11 will be more comfortable for this vs. 13. Personally, I have a 12.9 from 2018 and I love it, but I didn’t use it nearly as much as I wanted due to the form factor. If you plan on using it like a laptop 13, but if you plan on holding it a lot 11 all day. People will say the 13 is way better than the 12.9 was with portability, but it’s just awkward after a while.

Should I upgrade to 11 or 13 M4 iPad Pro? Currently have the 11 iPad Pro from 2018 without cellular. Also, is the cellular edition worth it?
@richarddcrossley6 ай бұрын
It’s an added cost but if you’re out and about it’s awesome. You can of course tether using hotspot but when travelling I often prefer not to do that to keep battery life. It’s also really nice to just flip open your iPad and use it anywhere straight away. Only you can really answer that though as adding cellular basically get your the next storage tier up on a WiFi iPad in most cases. Owning both an 11 inch and 13 inch I ended up taking the 11 inch out more as I’m the netbook generation and it fits on coffee tablets and trains more (in the UK everything is cramped when you travel 😂)
@satxrnhimself6 ай бұрын
@@richarddcrossley Ok, thanks! So you say overall the new M4 iPad Pro 11 without cellular? That’s what I thought too!
@richarddcrossley6 ай бұрын
@@satxrnhimself yeah. I’m also using my 12.9 inch much less because now stage manager has got much better and you can select which audio source I often connect my iPad to a Thunderbolt or USB C monitor. It’s really a game changer vs the none M1 or above iPads. Can use 11 inch for iPad things (now without a worse display) and for more complex tasks connect to a display and use Magic Keyboard or a keyboard and trackpad/Magic Mouse.

@@satxrnhimself last thing I forgot to say is the iPad Pro isn’t my primary portable computer as I have M1 Pro 14. If it’s going to be the primary mobile device for you it might be worth getting the 13 inch.

@@richarddcrossley Yeah. I want a Mac computer and an iPad for the mobility stuff and watching YT videos too. I debate between those 2 combinations: M4 Pro MacBook Pro (when it comes out) and iPad Mini 7 (when it comes out), or M4 Max Mac Studio (when it comes out) and M4 11 iPad Pro. Not sure which one is the better combo but currently leaning towards the Mac Studio with iPad Pro.

Thank you for the Video ! I TRULY Appreciate Your Videos! I am still waffling back and forth between the 11 and 13. I originally had the 12.9 and found it too heavy to use in tablet mode for a small period of time. I am hoping the 13 design with it lighter and thinner might make it more comfortable to use. I am interested in Productivity with the IPAD. I actually use the Mini for a lot of content absorbing. You mentioned that for note taking the 11 is more comfortable but what if the tablet laying flat on the table (how I take notes) can you say the same thing? THANKS!

13 felt a little bit large for me and 11 too small to enjoy it as an ipad instead of a "large" iphone (bigger screen to enjoy oled details, layout that benefit from ipad size is more common on 13, etc. + sound). I preferred a bit too large than too small (for me, because it's not "small" by any mean) not to be frustrated to really. A size just in between would have been perfect. I also prefer the 13 ratio for productivity. 13 still feels as a tablet, I have no need for laptop i'm really looking for a tactile table experience (I do not understand the comparison, if you make it you are not targetting your usage right in my opinion). Even at that size, there is no comparison to a laptop footprint and portability.
