Pretty much the perfect height. Any lower and your awning would have to be deployed upward from its base (causing rain to run backward toward your unit) and be in the way of your window supports. I am in the process of increasing the height of my tent for those reasons, and head room around the trailer.

Do you get a lot of bouncing when towing with the RTT ? I just did finished a DYI bolting in three legs on each side with a welded cross bar connecting the bar. On the way home the trailer bounced and made me nervous. The welds held no cracks. Just curious how it bounces when you travel.
@MikeAndTheGreatOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching!. Yes I had a tone of bounce. I lowered the tire pressure to between 15-20 psi. Bounce went away. Towed hundred of miles at thst air pressure. Good luck thanks for sharing!

I need to put up a video of my M410 with rooftop tent, LEDs on all sides, water pump that discharges from a 12 gallon tank to the front and to the rear and a ARC Extreme Off-road dual wheel jockey in all black to match my trailer.

They really are hard to find. I was able to build two of them. It took weeks of looking for them. Thanks for viewing!

What a great little setup and I for one like the roof top tent setup higher on your trailer .so much more clearance for gear underneath. 🙂Huntsville Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 🤘

I have a M100 and torn between new axle which loses my hand break or spacers and adapters? Did you have the same dilemma?
@MikeAndTheGreatOutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching. Never thought about changing the axle. Not carry lot of weight. I did new bearings, grease etc. Love the hand brake. Dont have to block the tires. Also slightly helps the trailer with tilting.

Do you like the tongue length? Do you think you would like it longer!

Can you tell me where you got the wheel adapters?
@MikeAndTheGreatOutdoors4 ай бұрын
Got them off amazon. The lug pattern is 5x5.5 on the trailer. I had to take the adapters to a machine shop to have the bore of the adapter cut to 4". Thanks for watching!

Is there any kind of Lift kit on the trailer? Usually a 31 is the biggest tire size you can fit?
@MikeAndTheGreatOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
It has a straight axle, your probably use blocks like you would use on a truck rear axle. I didn't want it any taller i was worried about it being top heavy
@djwisco23784 жыл бұрын
where did you get the adapters for the hubs? I have the same trailer. Thanks man!
@MikeAndTheGreatOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Got them on Amazon. I did have to have them bored out to fit over the trailer hub. Any machine shop can do this. Cost about $20.00 each to bore. Here is the link for the adapters. www.amazon.com/dp/B06XHHHVMF/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_btf_t1_424uFbJQY6DKS

I like that you didn’t screw it up by cutting a tailgate into it.
@MikeAndTheGreatOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Thanks.. that was a no brainer for me
@gwgaskin4 жыл бұрын
do you find it to be top heavy? I have the same rack for my RTT, but haven't used it yet
@MikeAndTheGreatOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Imi dont feel it is top heavy. The tent weighs around 120 pounds. On the trailer I have 2" spacers plus the wider wheels. The trailer wheel with is probably around a foot wider, lowering the center of gravity. I am careful on off ramps and slow down a little more. Hope this helps

Local Virginia guy, getting my trailer this weekend. Any tips on getting one titled? Would love to meet up some time!
@MikeAndTheGreatOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
Hey j, its pretty simple.. you can get a form online DMV for a home built trailer. According to va law, if you modify "a" trailer you can register it as home built. I'm sure you will modify it. You fill out the form, go to dmv. They will give you a vin number. Take the vin, put on your trailer. Then you need to get a police officer to sign off on the form. All they are signing off on is that the vin is mounted to the trailer. Then you take the form back to dmv and get a title. I've done two. I'm not far from Virginia Beach.
