M4A1 Block II Clone vs Mk18/CQBR Block II Clone

If you’re on the fence about which one of these clones to build, hopefully this video will help you make a decision. Even by today’s standards, these are awesome rifles.

I make these videos with the intention of educating others in a motivational/inspirational form. I do not own the music we use in most cases, understanding is that it is in correlation to Fair Right Use, however given that it is open to interpretation, if any owners of the content clips would like me to remove the video, I have no problem with that and will do so as fast as possible. I believe these videos are fair use because:
They are transformative in a positive sense, I take clips from various sources to help create an atmospheric feeling that will help people in hard situations in their life.
I also do not wish to use the heart of any piece of work that would perhaps decrease the market value of the original content, if anything, I hope to promote the content so that people can reach out and subsequently increase the market value.
Lastly these videos are to educate people in an entertaining fashion. Given these are very short videos, the short parts we use within them act as a catalyst to further reading, education, and accessible information.

The goal of this video wasn’t to go over all the fine details of these clone builds, but rather to show both with and without the suppressors comparatively. One of the things I like the most about the CQBR / Mk18 is that when with the suppressor on, it is slightly shorter than a full length unsuppressed M4A1, however, that is a two stamp build, which is why one of the best redeeming qualities about the M4A1 is the ability to pin and weld the flash hider to the barrel to bring the barrel to 16”+ to make it a regular rifle. It’s a great option for someone who doesn’t want to own, or simply can’t own, NFA items due to factors such as where they’re living. Just something to consider and hope this video does a decent job adding a visual component to the points I wanted to make. As always, thanks for watching and stay tuned for more content like this.

Man I can’t decide between the two! I want a mk18. But everyone says I should go m4 for extra range 🤦🏻‍♂️

@@GrizzilyX 14.5” is super nice, but if you’re staying inside of 300yds, I’d say get the Mk18. It’s easily my favorite rifle of all time.

Yeah, I’ve debated doing it, I just would want a few more units to compare them to since I only have a couple military/full power PEQ-15’s and a “high power” LA5 variant.

What brand is the M4 clone's upper? Also where'd you get that quad rail? Looking to get a 556 upper

The uppers are Colt “Keyhole Cerroforge” M4 upper receivers, Colt barrels, Colt BCG’s. I’m pretty sure I bought my Daniel Defense M4A1 RIS II rail along with my Colt SOCOM profile barrel from Marc @ Arizona Machine Gun Ordnance.

Sweet builds man! Is that an ergo grip on your Block II?

Sean Yessir! Ergo is the only grip with finger grooves that I actually like. They’re super thin but super comfy.

Wheelchair Operator Great choice! I’ve seen LMT, SAS, and New Zealand put those on their rifles as well. Personally one of my favorites as well due to finger grooves like you mentioned. Keep up the great content dude!
