Saw it tonight in a XT6 Skyline. Ghostly blue ring was clearly visible. Took my breath away.

Still fucking amazing how the ring is noticible

Soooo if I have a 150mm telescope with 75x magnification, I could see it?
@arminulrich23193 ай бұрын
I have got a 130 mm Newton and I have seen it often , even here in Berlin. Maybe you should use an ocular with a bigger magnification.

I could actually see it with my 4in telescope even since for me in the summer it’s directly up in the sky. I have a harder time seeing the dumbell nebula

Yesterday I created a stacked image of M57 using my 12-inch Dobsonian telescope, combining 30 minutes' worth of data. The central star is also visible in the stacked image. The stacked image does also contain a very faint and small galaxy IC1296.

Could anyone tell me why Jupiter and A lot of different stars are just yellow though my telescope? Or how to fix it.
@DenkoAstronomy9 ай бұрын
Hello, what telescope do you have? I think it could be some type of optical aberration, probably chromatic.

@@DenkoAstronomy Hi I don’t have a great telescope. It’s a brookstone telescope with a objective lens diameter of 50mm, focal length of 600mm and viewing lens 6mm. What do you think? I may be getting a better telescope for Christmas.

Is it possible to see in 4.5 inch telescope pls reply

Hi, I think you will be able to see the ring nebula as a fuzzy patch of light, but it really depends on observation conditions (light pollution etc.). Clear skies! Good luck!🍀
@hellothere1947 Жыл бұрын
Yes you can, I have a 4in and I saw it. It was directly straight up in the sky for me though so I think that’s why I had such an easy time seeing it

Just did it tonight in the heart of LA. Very dim, though.

Hey, i have a 130 mm aperture and 650 mm focal length telescope. Any chances of good deep sky photos?
@DenkoAstronomy Жыл бұрын
Hello, astrophotography isn’t only about telescopes but also cameras, mounts, light pollution etc. Without knowing your equipment, I really can’t say how good your DSO photos will be.

I’m planning to capture the Ring Nebula next time the skies are clear that night. l:l

@@DenkoAstronomy Update: I got it last night! I did not think it would be clear. I didn’t really see it that well when I actually looked at it. I don’t really have equipment, and yet I was still able to kinda get a good pic with the night mode setting. It’s blurry tho, and it appears as a fuzzy ball.

This is amazing but depressing to me at the same time, I want to be an astronomer but. I don't know how to starhop to find messier objects...😭
@hmuphilly9129Ай бұрын
These days you dont have to classic starhop no more.
