Great board , i like everything but the deepsleep current 0.3mA of the board is stil not good for long term battery applications unfortunately

ia min a big triuble trying to install wled on it. yes i know, the homepage says its not optimised fpr s3, but there are builds on the extenden installer page which are made for s3 also including OPI. but all i get is that the stamp keeps reconnecting in usb after insallation. any ideas or tips how to get it installed?

I would look for other WiFi libraries - It's a tricky situation, You'll likely need to re-compile again with changes to what library handles the wifi. Start with testing which wifi library works or even better check what WiFi library WLED is using, then test just that to see if this works

@@notenoughtech i searched for other wled projects using a s3 and found the StanleyProjekts LedBoxV3. it also has an own web installer page specifically for this project, also powered by "esp web tools", and this installer package somehow makes it run🤔 i'll keep looking for a long term solution and thank you for your response! :)

@@notenoughtech somehow i made it run. i started looking for other s3-based wled projects and found the LedBoxV3 by StanleyProjects. it also has an own, specifically for this project ESP Web Tools based installer, and somehow it possible to flash it on the m5stamp. after it i cpuld update it with the nevest stable bin through the web-interface (the 8mb flash version). and also i found out that it it possible to flash it directly with the 4mb flash version, but if i take the 8 mb (and the model i have is one) it bricks and is just stuck in a loop of reconnecting, as described earlier. but thank you for your response! i´ll keep looking for a reason of all this and a solution:)

Do you know how much current cant it provide from the 3.3v output?

No, unfortunately, I haven't seen the data for this. If you need more than 200mA I would definitely use an external supply.

No, you will need a separate charging circuit for that

M5Stack is all new to me. Got interested in the Cardputer and the GPS and bought a M5stamp just now. I plan to control some RC stuff with it and a pile of RPI Pico's run fine with MMBasic for a lot I wanted, but the casing stuff with this is amazing.

I'm not 100% sure as it has been a while but that could be firmware missing. Have you downloaded the flasher?

Check the cable. Some usb-c cables are power only (cheap ones) the next step is to make sure you have driver installed. Software has menu to reinstall it
