I do my best to show you an RF Transmitter I bought off Walmart.com without having a good antenna and an old black and white CRT TV.
Here is a link to the product.(I have no affiliation to this company)

I just bought one of these modulators. You can broadcast on UHF channels 14 to 83. The trick is setting the modulator on channels 65 to 136. This is because channels 14 to 64 on the modulator are the cable channels. Channels 7 to 13 (VHF high) has the best signal if you don't have an antenna booster. For maximum clarity on just about any channel you'll need an antenna on both the TV and modulator along with a booster. I didn't try it on UHF on all channels, but on VHF high 7 through 13 is almost perfect with just an antenna without a booster on the modulator and had just an antenna splitter on the TV in the next room. Picture and sound was slight grainy but still almost perfect. To know what your UHF channel is, you will need to take your UHF channel and subtract it from the channel number on the modulator. That will tell you how many numbers to add to find your UHF channel. Example: If you're on channel 14 UHF your modulator needs to be on channel 65. The difference is "51". Subtract 65 from 51 and that will be your UHF receiving channel which is 14. Same goes if you want channel 83 or anywhere on the UHF analog spectrum. It is 51 from the number indicated on the modulator from 65 on up. Actually if your television goes slightly past channel 83, you would be receiving on channel 84 or 85 UHF; if they really did exist. Channel 134 is UHF 83. 134-51=83. 136-51=85 and 135-51=84. Remember that channels 14 to 64 on the modulator is the analog cable band.

Back before analogue was switched off, the RF in, was for your main antenna, or for the RF output from a VCR to pass-through to your TV. Most would leave that unused today. The modulator's RF out, should connect directly to the antenna socket on the back of the TV inself, though nice it has enough RF power output to work with an antenna transmitting the signal.

That's the real purpose of the device. Plug an antenna into the RF in, plug your camera/DVD player into this device like he showed, then the RFout goes into a splitter with coax going throughout your house. Now everyone can watch that camera you hooked to the modulator on channel 12 anywhere in the house. Daisy chain a few modulators together by running the RF out of one modulator into the RF in of another, and you have a cable system. The fact that you can put the output into an antenna is a happy accident.

I think you need to connect the antenna to the rf in and rf out connects to your coax throughout your house that connects to the rf input to your tv's. That way you have a good strong signal to the tv. Depending on the signal you might need a fixed attenuator.

I forgot to mention that with the VHF low band 2 through 6, channel 6 is also 87.7 on FM radio so if you are broadcasting on VHF channel 6; you will also hear the audio on 87.7MHz. Even if you want to use 87.7MHz for FM; from my understanding you will need to have some kind of video signal being that is also on channel 6 VHF low. This modulator will work for both FM and low power TV transmitting in your home if you use channel 6 and 87.7MHz. Just remember that your sending antenna will need to be within the FCC Part 15 limits being it is an unlicensed broadcast. NOTE: If your area uses channel 6 and 87.7MHz by another low power station. DO NOT USE this frequency, even if the signal is weak. It MUST be pure static and snow to ensure no signal conflicts. Some states are using analog channel 6 for FM broadcasting. Not sure how long this will continue.

@@ketznov4072 I think the HDMI to HDMI wireless extenders are supposed to transmit 200 or 300 ft, That might be an option for some folks. I don't have cable tv and live in an apt. I can't get one major channel because I'm on the opposite side from the broadcast antenna about 20 miles away. So in a couple of weeks I will be experimenting with a wi-fi - ranch and farm router - to send from my car to my apt several floors up. The tuner in the car is a classic HD Homerun and it gets the broadcast perfectly. Another issue is interference from all over the place. From cell phones to wi-fi. @@offgrid2010 An analog tv modulator like that one in the video and the hundreds out there are pretty cheap, but hd digital TV modulators are quite expensive, from $150 and up. There are some that supoort HDMI input and will output your HD digital channel over coax. As far as I know hotels often use these to broadcast movies in HD to the TVs, thus it's simplicity. After you get one of these you will need an AV to HDMI converter, because these HD modulators only support HDMI, so you have to convert the composite video. These converters are extremely cheap so you don't have to worry about that, the thing is to get the modulator.
