A unicorn of an engine that went into some Sherman was the RD-1820 a radial diesel engine.

@@bryanmartinez6600 I thought I was aware of any engine versions dropped into WW2 US/ Canadian AFV hulls until I read your post today. Thanks for enlightening us, this proves again we're never too old to learn something new!👍 Judging by what I've found about the RD-1820 so far indicates it didn't see frontline duty though - not because it was a bad engine, more because the engines that the RD-1820 was supposed to supersede functioned so well already...! 😏
