Thank you for going at the heatsink, saved me 40 bucks by me not trying it^^. I looked at other SoC system like Pi and this thing actually gives good performance/cost ratio still. Those Pi systems often cost 60-100usd now. I hade one of these boxes a few years back and its mindblowing that nothing better&cheaper haven't replaced them.

Chinese companies most have made billions of Android TV boxes, so they still have millions left to resale as gaming boxes. I hope they run out of them soon, so they'll be forced to release moder and more powerful boxes instead of the same garbage every day.

The obvious thing to do with these boxes is yo buy one with a large ROM set, then buy a better box and put the software on your self and transfer the ROMS.

The older gamesticks lite are now being sold for 23 dollars if someone needs a quick retro game fix or pay 40 for the better powkiddy y6 is the best option for now until we get decent priced gameboxes with better performance (higher than S905)

Once they can can emulate Dolphin for 50 bucks then Ill get super excited again .. as for now ill stick with Super Console Cube. Lets be honest.. there are just way too many of '' plays up to ps1'' for too long. Even a powkiddy q90 for 30 bucks from years ago can play up to ps1. Its time we saw a leap

GameCube emulation should have been the norm years ago. Even very old Android phones are capable of doing so. The problem is that all this garbage companies take and recycle very old and very weak hardware to maximize profits. I think this is the 10,000th Amlogic S905 game box Wicked Gaming Collector reviews. He deserves a gold medal 🏅. Jokes aside, I hope this Chinese companies run out old hardware inventory soon, and are forced to use hardware that is AT LEAST from the 2020s onwards so we can finally have boxes worty of our money. Or even better, lets hope that a new NVIDIA Shield and Raspberry pi are released soon, and that we have enough inventory to avoid another scalping situation.

The aliexpress description states that the cpu is... SURPRISE! Another Amlogic s905x. Anytime I see those boxes I assume that they all have the s905x in it. A 2016 chip and they seem to be in tons and tons of android boxes and who knows what else. At least we know why there's a semiconductor shortage; too many s905x's.
