To clarify, the reason you kept getting booted out of menus was a bug: you can hear the intro animation music playing during menus sometimes, and whenever it ends I guess the game thinks it still needs to boot you to the menu (since it’s programmed to load the main menu after the cutscene ends) so it kicks you out of whatever menu (and I guess song somehow??? Not sure how that works) your in and takes you back to the main menu, it’s likely they’ve fixed it in newer versions, so maybe check gamebanana before the friday stream. Nice video, and I hope this helps clear up any confusion :3

here's some advice despite this video being very old dont use just the arrow keys, use as and up and right (or other keybinds that give your hands enough space from each other), try to keep your eyes focused in the middle of the notes and use your peripheral vision to see what notes need to be hit instead of looking at each note individually. if the notes position mess you up try things like Middle scroll or downscroll, or both. (but be aware not all mods support middlescroll/downscroll) take your time with the game and try not to worry about hitting every single note, as long as youre hitting them consistently youre alright. finally, to make it easier on yourself, there's a setting that disables health drain, the bot cant make your icon go low, you just have to make sure you aren't getting too many consistent misses :) (i play fnf too much)

I recommend playing Friday Night Funkin with either AS and Up and Down arrow keys, or DFJK, instead of just the arrow keys or just WASD. Playing with two hands is much better for these harder charts, and you will need it if you play the updated version of this mod

For some reason, your version keeps skipping the intro animation, but not the audio. When the intro audio ends, you are sent to the main menu.

The reason why your game keeps crashing and kicking you out Is because the game never loaded the full cutscene which was the title so It thinks you never entered the game and when it fully finishes the title it kicks you in to the main menu thinking you pressed enter to enter the main menu
