Lot of friends said this movie was horrible and such things... I don't get it. I just loved the movie and the soundtrack is flawless. Just flawless and epic. I guess people nowadays don't go with slow pacing sci-fi anymore, just explosions, lasers and kung fu things.

The movie was pretty good, but what bothered me was the fact that it took its main story twist from a very good film called moon. If you like actual slow paced sci-fi, then i recomend you watch that.

THUNDER CUNTS The simplicity of media and movies nowadays has taken away all of the beauty and introspection. People have a hard time paying attention long enough to build the story on your own. Especially when it is visual clues pressing the story...It is a silent movie of sorts.Tom Cruise's best movie to date in my opinion and I am generally not a fan.. The Soundtrack is a masterpiece as well

this made me think about how I've fought against my long and hard period of depression and I can finally say I'm a happy person and it makes me cry such tears of joy. I worked hard for this
@SukunaEnjoyer8 жыл бұрын
depression is something easy to get over lol. As soon as you start thinking logically why you feel depressed it should be gone. Sometimes I don't understand humans as species. There are alot more harder things and some people can't even get over one depression. Not talking 4 you. Crying over dead siblings is as much stupid as depression. Some people gotta understand that after so many years of evolution you just can't act like this, depression and the rest bullshits.
@frankblackadder8 жыл бұрын
You simply don't know what you're talking about. A lot of people will probably flame the shit out of you for your comment, but I'm just going to suggest you spend a day researching and learning about the subject in case it proves useful later in your life.

@seventhSabra8 жыл бұрын
You're completely clueless and ignorant on the matter. From a medical, biological, chemical, social, cultural, and many more areas, depression has been proven to be more difficult to as you put it: "get over," than the most addictive drugs known to man. You're attempting to suggest that somehow evolution should have eliminated depression from the human cognitive capacity... again, you're an idiot. In fact the exact opposite is true. Every study proves that people who experience depression on occasion (not to severely crippling levels) are far more likely to lead an overall happier, better life. Also, people who suffer occasional depression average much higher IQs, are far more creative, interesting, well rounded, empathetic, attractive, have better sex lives, and are successful... all of which are highly desirable for the progression of a society. English not being your first language (I can only assume), is no excuse for idiotic sentences like what you wrote here, in fact it doesn't even qualify as a sentence: "There are alot more harder things and some people can't even get over one depression." And then there's this bit of vomited up brain damage: "Crying over dead siblings is as much stupid as depression. Some people gotta understand that after so many years of evolution you just can't act like this, depression and the rest bullshits." So according to your "professional" opinions which unlike mine, (were not formed at the top universities in the world), claim that grieving - an absolutely essential process for human cognitive development and healing (AND DECREASE IN STATES OF DEPRESSION), is by your own words.... "stupid." Please, for the benefit of modern society, refrain from opening your mouth to comment on anything. It's clear that your cognition never graduated from the "single-cell" phase, and as such, every time you breathe, you are stealing oxygen from those of us who have functioning brain cells and therefore require respiration.

Yesterday was my day working at the office. had been working for a world famous architect for near 8 years. In that, survived office politics, backstabbing, the sudden death of my father, almost separation from my wife and daughter, learnt the difference between being a boss and a leader who cares and leads his team. I was also the unofficial office dj playing work time music especially during all nighter projects until a recent bitchy colleague put an end to that. So yesterday was my last day. I stayed till late, packing up and cleaning. Place was empty. Had one last look at the place with all the memories, played this track loud...then turned off the pc for the last time, pulled out my speakers and walked out the door to my future.

LYRICS: M83 - Oblivion (feat. Susanne Sundfør) Since I was young, I knew I'd find you But our love was a song sung by a dying swan And in the night, you hear me calling You hear me calling And in your dreams you see me falling, falling Breathe in the light I'll stay here in the shadow Waiting for a sign, as the tide grows Higher, and higher, and higher And when the nights are long All those stars recall your goodbye, your goodbye And in the night you'll hear me calling You'll hear me calling And in your dreams you'll see us falling, falling And in the night you'll hear me calling You'll hear me calling And in your dreams you'll see us falling, falling Breathe in the light and say goodbye Breathe in the light and say goodbye

This movie is absolutly brilliant. If you understand the profoundness, you'll see that the movie tells us things of our past, present and future. It's really philosophical, but it doesn't mean that the movie is bad. To the track; It's one of the first really good pop tracks since a long time. I don't like the people who say 'I like soundtracks' and if you ask them which music, they tell you 'The one of Transformers and Pirates of the Carebean'. I like these tracks, too, but it's often so that the more unknown soundtracks are the best ;).

Super-awesome end credits song in a great and underrated piece of film making... just like the previous film directed by Joseph Kosinski, because of the (undeniable) flaws in their writings (even though Oblivion is way better in that regard). Just like Tron, Oblivion is a visually stunning and musically exhilirating film ; and Susanne Sundfor's voice fits perfectly.

I re-watched this recently (3rd time) and I have no idea but this time I felt overwhelmed both by the love story, the music and the epic sci-fi landscapes. I think its wriggled its way into my top 20.

You guys know every sound in a song, even electronic is manually and carefully crafted and placed/"played" by the producer himself, right ? It's not the computer playing the drum part. M83 wrote it. Like we don't just press buttons and the computer magically creates a song.

Since I was young, I knew I'd find you But our love was a song sung by a dying swan And in the night, you hear me calling You hear me calling And in your dreams you see me falling, falling Breathe in the light I'll stay here in the shadow Waiting for a sign, as the tide grows Higher, and higher, and higher And when the nights are long All those stars recall your goodbye, your goodbye And in the night you'll hear me calling You'll hear me calling And in your dreams you'll see us falling, falling And in the night you'll hear me calling You'll hear me calling And in your dreams you'll see us falling, falling Breathe in the light and say goodbye Breathe in the light and say goodbye

Great si-fi movie, watched several times over the years. The music by M83 is outstanding, especially the theme sung by Susanne Sundfor...it doesn't get any better!!!

Perfect combo of band and singer. Susanne is always flawless. She's one of those that we only experience once in a lifetime. I love how the song ends and then the piano and strings comes in at 4:40 with the same song but just a mellow version. Listen to the chord progression, you can sing Susanne's part right over it and it clicks perfectly. "And in the night........"
