I never had any good memories at least not that i can think of. Terrible childhood and what not, but when i close my eyes while listening to this song i imagine being a star child with amazing loving parents that love each other and have a strong relationship and hearing them say how proud they are of me or how much they love and cherish me, cheering me on as they watch me play whatever sport i imagine about having them watch me grow older and older being proud of my success because they lead me down the right path together. Those thoughts bring tears to my eyes with a choked up chest wishing it were all real memories i can hold in my heart

The artwork for this song is very very symbolic. Here's what I take out of it. The eye/hand represents a camera or some sort of omniscient and artificial view from the outside world. That's why the man with blue hair is smiling. He is showing what he thinks the camera/society want to see. However, the man with green hair (same man), once away from the oppressive view of others starts to cry and lets down his mask...his facade. Through his tears grows a tree from the water and emotion that he is allowing to flow through him. The tree is beautiful, the lake is beautiful, the forest...all beauty. All real. The camera doesn't see what is truly beautiful. What's truly beautiful can only be seen by oneself through acceptance of oneself. True beauty comes from the truth, comes from pain, comes from love, come from emotion. We are beautiful, and we do not need to fake happiness or perfect for the purpose of seeming normal to others. Be yourself. Love, cry, mourn, enjoy, smile, frown, ...live. That's the message I got. :)

This song is one of my favorites. Its soft and builds as the song continues. Whenever I get too anxious I listen to this song. It helps me to regulate my breathing and I calm down. By the time the song starts to crescendo I can feel the power come back to me and I can face the world again. This song I believe is more of an emotion or a mix of emotions in one. How does this song make you feel? At what times would you listen to this dong?

When i hear this it makes me picture some fictional day where I am reunited with the love of my life that I took for granted and let drugs get between us. She is now doing 20 years for dealing methamphetamines. The last 3 years I was blinded by the drugs and it cost me the most amazing woman. A woman I whole heartedly believe was put on this planet for me. And I for her. But I fucked it up. Selfishly. I hear this and picture us reuniting. In a moment where the past was nonexistent. And everything was done right. A moment that lasts longer than a lifetime. And we walk together into the afterlife. Met by all those who have gone into the next life before us. This song gives me a sense of serenity just imagining such a pure moment even tho I know it is a moment that will never be. Just picturing and imagining it brings tears to my eyes.

While I agree with you, Morris, I have to say this isn't the best approach. Indeed, there's no god, especially not one that would give a damn about us not to even mention help any of us in any way. But your words might be a bit too harsh for the peaceful music this is posted on. And to Joey: there are no gods except for us and the other life forms creeping through the universe. We can do anything, we just need knowledge, and by that I mean science. Open your eyes to the real world which is marvelous enough without the need for any gods, mysticism or anything in that direction. Peace!
