Since 2010, these two gentlemen propelled Chinese TT dominance to a new height. 2021, Zhang is gone now but Ma Long is still around and almost unbeatable in important events. If these 2 players represented another country, I am pretty sure they would be just as dominant. Even the Chinese National TT Team would have trouble subduing both of them.

Right, i see Chinese players like Xiang peng, and some others losing to some European players(although they play wonderfully, and win most of the matches). That's not the case with Ma Long. He always dominates the European players, with rare exception.

He didnt make the choice to play in a way that emphasized longevity and health. His style was explosive and risky with beautiful movements; that is why we are impressed by him. Unfortunately, that style gave him pain in the back and hindered his career.
