I get you. It made me cry too. It feels lonely. Plus being as amazing as I am, I want to share my superb with the world, but the world doesn't see us enough... It's such a rich experience to have both a Woman-Man experience... People could learn so much from us! I wish they'd see... But we are the one to rebuild such a world for the future people like us. It is possible. Lots of love, my sister- brothers reading this, we are beautiful rich magnificent people and I love evefy one of us 💕

@@bendemare5270 I appreciate your response. I really try to not let myself get fixated on the subject... It's a lot of personal pain from childhood... and I grew up in a mostly(mostly) loving environment... there's still just so much frustration associated with it all. But I know there's nothing wrong with me...

@@ohno8569 I appreciated writing it, it feels good to get in contact with similar people than me. I'd like to meet us... Like, it is already therapeuthic to know that you are like me and than we go throught the same experience of being more than what other people are. It's normal and totally valid to feel frustrated. It's like we have a 2 super powers at once: being more than other people, and the power of invisibility 😅😭😂 Trying to laugh it out Big hug💞

@RodneyDodson3 жыл бұрын
@@SabakaJunglay exactly. I think there are naturally feminine men and masculine women, all though rarer. They serve a greater purpose. We are basically brainwashing these kids to think they are in the wrong body when we say things like "you are a boy so you can't play with those toys or act like that." Eventually the little boy is gonna wanna be a girl cause it's the only way he can be "himself."

This is wonderful. Another salve to my soul. Learning about "two spirit" is one of the major milestones in my ongoing journey of healing from the wounding of believing I was unlovable because I started to realise my true nature around the age of 3. In the culture I grew up in it had to be utterly hidden to avoid the punishments that would result if I revealed my authentic self.

As a very young child I would have dreams of the lives of the native people. Those dreams were so opposite of the life I was living that I held them in my heart because I too knew I was different and it helped me accept myself. In my late twenties my mother told me she was Lakota before she passed and it helped me accept those dreams even more. They were a true blessing. Thank you for sharing this teaching ...it is so familiar...my grandmother was just in spirit rather than walking with me.

It is obvious that we were born from the spirit of a mother and a father. That makes 2 spirits in one body. Both are vital even though one may be suppressed and the other expressed to the world. I am physically a male and the suppression of my female personality caused very bad sociopathic behavior in me. Thankfully I out grew those behaviors. .

This 5-minute summary of the human experience for a small part of humans, is a breath of fresh air. If everyone took a breath and watched this video there would be great appreciation for those people you know who just don’t quite fit the mold…Just like looking up sometimes and feeling grateful you can walk…knowing there are those who can’t. Imagine all the homophobic dudes out there, shifting their hate to, “omg, thank god I don’t have to deal with that…must be rough, tip my hat to that persons path” I sat in men’s group last night and had to really take some breaths as these men ignorantly judged the trans experience as black and white and all about sexuality. Not that trans is exactly two-spirit, that is trans, as in switching polarity, not being both. For me, I fit the mold for both, the group looks at me as a brother. But where does my orphaned other side fit in this society…no where, that’s where.

I was born American and when we were on our vacation back from Munising, Michigan our van got struck by lightning.. fast forward some years, while in a altered state (sensory deprivation pod) I saw the vision of a great bird, it took me some time to discover I was chosen by the Spirit of the Thunderbird.. through much research and digging online.. I have stated I identify with being two spirit.. I have all the gifts she spoke of, plus foresight. Though I was attacked and said it’s not possible for a non native to be.. when I hear her speak about her life it makes me cry because of how much I relate to.. I am also a backwards person. Can someone please clarify that you do not have to be born a Native to be gifted with this life.. I do not identify as a Native born per se but I feel it in my bones my blood.. and I know my soon to be partner is a Native. Schizophrenia is also a part of my journey.. I sense/know/see fellow thunderbirds/heyokas quite frequently in my waking life and have discovered some key identifying characteristics and signs. All this was triggered by an altered state NDE OBE that spanned 72hours in which I almost did not survive, I could barely breathe at the end of it. I just would like to be accepted for who I am, a chosen one with immense Native ancestry past life knowledge that does not fit the Male model.. I even started transitioning to androgyny to feel more myself.

Y'know, I've taken care of other people my whole entire life - ever since childhood, I was the one looking after someone else. It's been long and hard, I had to learn quick and I had to know more, that was always the way of things. Because of that, I became a very versatile person. I still find myself teaching and caring and leading, despite all the things this hard life has done to hold me down - despite becoming so very tired. I've questioned my place in the world so many times, I've wondered for so long why I struggled and why I never fit. I always felt misunderstood everywhere I went and everywhere I looked. So, this is.. soothing - to know that this was always my role to play and that I _did_ always fit where I was supposed to fit but, that the world has simply forgotten to save me a space where I was supposed to have a space. I am who I am, I know myself and I have to take solace in that - that two-spirited is exactly what I am. I can hope now too that, as our people heal and remember, I'll find a space to also be me. It's.. more comfort than I've had in such a very long time, to know this is simply the way of things. So, thank you, for sharing this and helping me heal too.

Two spirit from what my elders have been teaching me is not about sexuality or gender specifically, traditionally indigenous people had 5 gender identities however from what I have gathered non of the role titles mention sexuality or orientation, two spirit is a spiritual existence and responsibility, you can be native and lgbt and still not identify as two spirit unless you truly appreciate the role you have within our indigenous communities, I have heard many non natives try to use that title as a means to connect to a culture without that isn’t theirs not understanding what exactly it is, two spirit has nothing to do with non binary/gender fluid or other identified sexualities, to truly respect and feel the teachings one ☝️ most meet and learn from elders that are traditional all the way, my family is traditional and old school and the only people who pass hurtful judgement or those who are religious

If only my grandmother and nana (great grandmother) told me what two spirit was being so close in contact with Native tribes back in the day. You have a feminine side and masculine side of you leading to being androgynous like God was. David Bowie is a good example of a two spirited person along woth his wife. They were a well-married and well-mannered couple that were of the British Isles. The way he passed away from cancer was depressing. My grandmother would have been hurt and upset had she still been alive.

In western culture I identify as non binary. Two spirit is not something I would call myself because I feel that it is reserved for indigenous peoples. They have not only both sexes representing them, they are also highly revered among their specific cultures and tribes. They have been for a very long time. Its historical and many articles out there exploring this. It's true that we are all facets of both genders within but to live that openly is something that two spirit and non binary people are. In western culture, people are slowly becoming more open and accepting, yet it's one of the toughest journeys to undergo.
