Thanks! There isn't exactly the same placement system at UK universities such as Cardiff Met. However we have a career services team which assists students with finding opportunities for when they graduate.

Hi Jack, was wondering about the differences in terms of mathmetical content and numbers between an MA and Msc. I graduated with a Bsc in Buinsess and Managment and would love to further my studies with a masters in International business. The calculus and business maths almost made me dropout from my Bsc degree so I would love to avoid calculations and numbers if possible. Is it true that an Ma would have less or even no numbers compared to an MSc? Also I have seen degrees where they do not specify arts or science, what's the deal with those? Hi Salar, sorry to have missed your message before. An MRes is 2/3 research, whereas an MSc is mostly taught content. If you are planning on a PhD then an MRes can help prepare you, however you may also find that you can get a similar emersion in research by just taking the MRes (for a shorter amount of time). Thanks for getting in touch. Most UK MSc courses are 1 year duration, however sometimes they can be 2 years if they include an internship. PhDs vary, as the majority are PhDs by research, but the average is 3-5 years. Thanks, Jack
