It's not every day you run into Gene Wolfe themed albums.

It looks like the endless city in the manga "BLAME!". It just keeps building more and more city. Forever. Literally nobody knows how big it is at this point because humanity has evolved.....beyond.

I keep coming back to this album - fantastic ambient work, and the reference to Gene Wolfe isn't lost on me either. A+

Randomly stumbling across this album inspired me to pick up Shadow of the Torturer; haven't read any Gene Wolfe before. I've ended up becoming a fan.

I've listened to this every day since it was posted and I still haven't finished it because I keep going back to listen to the first song. What a banger!

a friend in a Gene Wolf book club linked this album to us-we're reading through the best known series of the very literary scifi/fantasy author who made the related Book of the Long Sun series that this album is based on. The same musician has another concept album based on that better known work, Book of the New Sun. If you like complex fiction with mysteries adventure and narrators who lie to you, Wolfe may be for you...

A sun is as long as it is wide as it is high as it is deep since it is a sphere. Assuming it is not flattened by rotational deformation. Get it? 🤓😁

I can't stand joke characters. I don't mind humor or funny stuff in a campaign but I don't like playing with joke character players. Or the weird silly gimmick folks either.
