Church of Christ never says the old testament is useless. Church of Christ never claims tithing is not in the Bible. Just pay attention to what they say and stop the misrepresentation. It should not always be debate. You can invite one preacher to your program to clear the church's position on the matter. No matter what you feel about Avraham, you've got to admit that he's had one hell of a journey. The lesson is plain and simple. We keep learning and growing in accurate knowledge, not blind faith. The Bible says he who seeks to save his life will lose it. If you make heaven the goal, what does that say about YOU? The Kingdom of God is NOT a place, it is a state of soul. When our souls are aligned with virtue and truth without attachments to the promise of HEAVEN or the threat of HELL, we are able to behold the Kingdom of God. In the old testament, we can find two dispensations... The patraichal age (from Adam to Moses) Exodus 19. And from Exodus 20ff to the resurrection of Jesus Christ ( Matthew 28). From Acts, 2 God established his Church and gave them his doctrines. Acts 2:42ff. We are not under the laws which were nailed on the cross. The old testament supports that. For Moses and the laws of God ended at Christ death. Since then, he gave us new laws. The old laws are currently use for studies, teachings, references. 1st Cor 10:4-11

I like Avraham's spiritual journey however, there's a lot he needs to learn. He still needs to listen to debates from the elites around the world and still do plenty of reading and researches. The translation of some of the arabic words aren't the exact meaning in English therefore it might seem that the Holy Quran has contradictions.
