I spent 6 months in South Korea back in 2001 and loved the street food chicken skewers. I assume it was also dak-kkochi, as the sauce is the right colour, but the vendors in the area I was living had battered fried pieces of chicken that were then dipped in a heated bath of a red sauce that fits the spicy/sweet/sour profile for a minute or two before being served up. It was so, so good. Now, rice cake, on the other hand... I cannot get my head around enjoying rice cakes LOL!
