What impresses me the most about Maaya Sakamoto is the quality of her live vocals. (I know that nowadays there's plenty of technology that can help performers reach those high notes while singing live - yet , oh boy). I would also like to state that I'm impressed by her sound engineer. Even though I have no idea who to guy or gal is, it's rare to be able to hear such sound quality live.
