De MF 5S serie heeft sinds enkele maanden een fabrieksupdate gekregen op motorsoftware. Daarmee zouden alle modellen de beschikking hebben gekregen over ongeveer 5 pk transportboost, beschikbaar vanaf versnelling 2E tot 4F. Bijvoorbeeld een MF 5S.125 gaat van 125 pk naar 130 pk met boost. Het maximaal koppel gaat van 520 Nm naar 540 Nm. Het maximale toerental is verhoogd van 2100 naar 2200 t/min. Het stationair toerental bij gebruik van de handrem is verlaagd van 750 t/min. naar 700 t/min. De boost is niet beschikbaar voor hydraulisch vermogen of aftakaswerk. Die Baureihe MF 5S hat in den letzten Monaten ein werkseitiges Update der Motorsoftware erhalten. Damit hätten alle Modelle etwa 5 PS an Transportleistung gewonnen, die von Gang 2E bis 4F verfügbar sind. Ein MF 5S.125 zum Beispiel steigert seine Leistung von 125 PS auf 130 PS mit Boost. Das maximale Drehmoment wird von 520 Nm auf 540 Nm erhöht. Die Höchstgeschwindigkeit wird von 2100 auf 2200 U/min erhöht. Die Leerlaufdrehzahl bei angezogener Handbremse wird von 750 U/min auf 700 U/min reduziert. Der Boost ist nicht für hydraulische Leistung oder Zapfwellenarbeiten verfügbar.

Ik heb van de MF importeur of MF Beauvais (fabriek) niets vernomen van een update op motorsoftware. Het is in ieder geval niet gecommuniceerd met de buitenwereld. Mocht het wel waar zijn, dan is de toch al pittige MF 5S, door zijn gunstige vermogens - gewichts verhouding nog sneller in transportwerk dan de JD 6M. Dank je wel voor het delen.

For you the winner, but there are always wishes left over. My advice to MF is to get a perfect tractor: Stop reversing the gearshift pattern when driving in reverse. Pushing the lever away from you is always accelerating. Use the same hydraulic multi-lever in all S Series. Introduce a double-clutch gearbox. It's already there in the 8S. Mirrors that can also be extended electrically. Widen the back of the command arm a little, to get more space for the elbow. Develop a 4-pillar cab. Develop a roof, where with and without visio roof, the roof always looks the same. Cab suspension can be set more flexible. The steering wheel should be able to be turned with a flat hand without feeling the spokes. Remove the crossbar in front of the windscreen. Create more storage space in the cabin. Modify the cable entry hatch in the rear window. Move the rear window wiper motor into the roof edge. Give the front window wiper a larger stroke. A style corner display. Electric parklock under steering wheel. Reversing camera in the rear roof. Handrails at entry door further forward, for better access to cab. Boost on PTO power. LED rear lights, LED headlights and LED beacons. Economy mode on front PTO, available by Zuidberg not by MF. Black rims from factory. Leather steering wheel. Upholstered cab posts. Improved braking. Separate oil circuit for transmission and hydraulics. Mobile phone attachment on command arm. 50 km/h Anyone want to finish this list? So MF can learn from it.

Unfortunately not. The 6R would be a much better approximation to the MF 5S, but it comes at a higher price tag. Some points of the 6R: larger turning circle, larger cabin, more luxurious command arm, available with 50 km/h, larger lifting capacity, optional 225-litre diesel tank, higher own weight, more extensive headland management, boost also with hydraulic power, dynamic weighing with front loader, hydraulic pneumatic cabin suspension, speedsteer, panorama doors, A-pillar display. Massey Ferguson’s 5S Series tractor has received the Red Dot Award for product design 2022. But tastes differ. I personally think the John Deere is a beautiful tractor.

I like both brands which is why I'm checking out both. I'm also checking both out. I'm also checking Case IH and New Holland along with fendt.

Case IH and New Holland are pretty much the same, as are MF 5S and Valtra G series. The advantage of NHC tractors is the large choice of gearboxes. Some parts at Fendt and MF are identical (Agco), but the price difference is big. Try a demo tractor and you will experience the differences. Good luck.👍
