Dang the Mabinogi soundtrack always brings back so many memories. I have so many good ones from way back when it first released in the US, making friends, playing for hours every day and eventually putting in a number of years with genuinely wonderful people before I ended up quitting. Life has gotten so busy and complicated that I don't really think I will find that again in any game. I miss those times and people, I hope my fellow Spoon guildies are doing well for themselves out there. I didn't know how special this game would be, I wish it had continued but I can't travel back in time. I will think of all of them for the rest of my life. Varrus.

I came here to say pretty much the same thing. I miss this game, and this song in particular always takes me back to those days. It really sucks how we never know how much something will mean to us until it's gone or we no longer have the time in our lives to enjoy it anymore. Same with Shin Megami Tensei Imagine. I used to play that one for hours and was so invested in the lore. I still play the Persona games, and I love them just as much, but I do miss the MMO experience and the world built in that game.

Your both acting as if Mabinogi has been erased from the face of the earth, relax the game is still running and if you don't like the current version some privat servers have apeared that provide a unique spin or take on the original game, kind of like Mabinogi Pro which is kind of like a Mabinogi classic server.

@mesmorrow I'm well aware the server is still up and running, I was lamenting the passing of time and friendships in the past. You can't travel back in time, but the music of the game can bring back reminders of good times past. I do miss my friends from then, we've all gone our separate ways. I've gone back to mabinogi a couple times but never felt that same thrill and connection with the people as when the game first launched. It was all fresh and new and unexplored. I no longer have the time I used to to play online games, but I enjoy the memories and friendships I had.

The music is always worth a listen, but that's about as far as I can go with Mabi these days. I can't even play the damn game anymore because my character isn't strong enough to handle the current generations even though I was level 13K total when I left. Because I apparently am missing things that I can't seem to get now because no one will help me get them, I can't really do anything other than just move on.

Started playing in 2008 or 2009 when the latest generation was G9. Dropped it in 2019 when I couldn't handle the power creep anymore since I wasn't shelling out ridiculous amount of money on gacha. I still log in every three or four months for old times sake but I never stay for long anymore. There's just something special about this game that keeps me from forgetting about it altogether. I'd still play it if they somehow got rid of the P2W crap, but there's no way in hell that's happening.

Well they have to make money somehow given that Mabinogi is a free to play game, even much newer games like Guild Wars 2 and Warframe have microtransactions and pay to win, in fact Mabinogi isn't even among the worst cases as I have seen way worse microtransaction and pay to win options in some other free to play games. with all of that said I do understand that it's annoying to deal with and feels like a wall of grinding or giving up every time you hit a paywall you need to overcome, they have also shuffled some stuff around there cash shop like the Eweca Orbs having been removed and more beginner friendly booster packs being sold.

Yeah... It won't be that hard to not think about it if you saw it now. All the BS hard-mode the current generation stories did, and all the really bad game mechanics they've made, and all the stupid mechanics that make it damn near impossible to get the best items make the game unplayable if you've been away too long.

Best not think of it. With how the Gaming Industry is working these days you may never see those updates in North America. There is a chance they will listen if we reward them for doing faster and more fair updates. But in order to know we gotta envy Korean Mabinogi. Also... Japan Mabinogi. Anohana Event... we never got. Imagine how much more sales they would have gotten had people knew the Commerce Partner was actually... Menma.

Yep, i think i will really play Mabi really soon, i know i'm very very late for starting the game only now but hey, everything has a start even if it's late no ? I really hope i will love the game very much, this MMORPG attract me very much and from what i saw, it's just ... Ahhhhh, i can't even find the words to describe it x) ... Really, i just want to see what others players have been able to witness in this game and this game have been so nostalgic from the pepole who have say it from some comments and from what i saw so ... Yeah, even with some games i have and even if those games have been made not so long ago, i want to go at a older game so, i hope i will be able to make some memories from it even is it just but a little memory. It's a girl name Enn. She's in the NA server now ^^ the event commemorates a new dungeon (for NA at least) called Memento. I've heard you gotta be a really high level to even attempt it. Though the event right now give you a preview of how it looks and fights i think
