Hmong- if you worked at your job for 1 year AND worked 1250 hours, and have not taken FMLA. You are qualified to take up to 12 weeks to care for a spouse, child, or parent, or yourself. Your job will be protected. Take some time off to help your spouse/child/parent. In a case like this one… Husband can take TH and FR off, to care for his spouse. Mom can take Mon and Tu off to care for Daughter. Dad can take Wed off to care for Daughter. The financial burden is spread across and it doesn’t hurt much. (Dad gets 12weeks FMLA to care for Daughter. Mom gets 12weeks to care for Daughter. Husband gets 12 weeks to care for his wife. The 12 weeks does not need to be taken simultaneously it can be spread throughout the year.)
