My very favorite singer. I have listened to and loved his music for almost 40 years. One regret in my life is that I have not seen him yet. I wish I knew where he would be performing. If anyone ever knows, please let me know.

Mac was almost 50 then. All grown up. No more flashy-trashy clothes, no more cutesy-wootsy perm. Wife, kids, the full catastrophe, as Zorba said. I wish he'd never used a backup band. Just a mike for him, and another for his guitar. This is wonderful. Thank you, Carson.

Everything he did was great! With a band, without, never mattered!

@bastardsonofretkillr Yes, 1991 I believe. He was starring on Broadway in The Will Rogers Follies. He was wonderful. No entourage, no fuss. Just Mac and his family.

Glad you like it. I also posted Mac doing "In the Ghetto". Both of these songs were un-rehearsed. We just sound checked, then recorded them in one take. He's a great guy with amazing talent.

Is that Mac's wife with the two little boys? Are those his kids or his grandkids? Carsonkit's do you know? I'd love to know myself. He has always been a fab country singer. I met him years ago. He was a very sweet man.
