I think you are some sort of gods creature sent on earth to calm peoples minds and obsessions with things. Every single time I see your video, its like spa - I get clear, calm and refreshed mind, free of "needs" that I dont really need and "wants" that I dont really want. Its you, what you do, your voice, where you live, how you live! Such a complete combination of a person and a place-I have never seen anything like this before. Dont EVER EVER stop making videos. They are so much more than that and I do not think there are words to describe the peace and tranquility you channel.

I think decluttering is a process and sometimes you have to take baby steps. When I watched you at the beginning of 2012--I had a feeling you would get to the point where you are right now. What a great feeling you must have!

OMG that's crazy!!! That first pallet was over $200 of eyeshadow. I just can never imagine my self spending that much on makeup. The most expensive things in my collection are a Mac foundation $29 and the lorac pro $42.

I'm surprised that no one is amazed you managed to remember and recognized the name of each eyeshadow before even lifting them off. Like that's insane memory to me. I don't own any Mac but I might try out their foundation. I don't think I can ever justify spending $15(?) for an eyeshadow color when great palette of 10 colors are only around $50.

If you do go for anything MAC, I wouldn't suggest their foundation. I tried it once, and it just looked so cakey and ended up creasing on my skin.

I know this is late, I use their makeup and love it. I use their foundation on a daily basis, if you use the pump 1 pump of the foundation is honestly all you need. you don't look cakey if you don't apply as much. their makeup may be expensive but trust me it lasts you months if using it every day to where it makes it worth it.

They're individual pans are now $6, the same as Makeup Geek, so if you have a z-palette (or anything of the sort) you could just buy one or two of those

Yay, done! Great job :) I have to say, I just love the filming perspective, feels like I would sit myself in front of the shadows and go through them ;) I could see the colors much better (since I personally own only like five Mac eye shadows) and maybe understand why you let them go. Shell actually is one of my favorite shades and textures (compared to other brands, too). I didn't even realized you still had that many. I see much fun video ahead of us :)

I can still remember when you were going to the MAC store to get the Marilyn Monroe collection and it was practically sold out. It was right after that you started this process, I think. lol I knew that one was Wedge.... I picked it out when you started.... one of my MAC favorties :) Great job decluttering! One thing that made it easier for me to let go of things was asking myself if it enhanced my life enough to keep it and if whatever it was really looked that much different or better than the others. I just remember looking at a Bobbi Brown palette where the colors looked different enough in the palette but when I swatched them they looked nearly the same! That was one of my "oh my!" moments where I realized that I was buying just to buy.

I went through my whole collection 2 years ago and only kept what I use and love, except for the Mac shadows ( I just couldn't do it at the time! I love only having what I love(5 lipsticks, 1 foundation, ect.) and have only repurchased empties. I've saved so much money. This has inspired me to get to the Mac palettes and finally let go😳of what I don't use. I even cleaned out my subscription box and got rid of KZbinrs that enabled my hoarding!!

I totally agree that there are just so many different brands that do great buttery eyeshadows now. There's definitely some impulse buys of Inglot shadows I need to get rid of. As fun as it was making the palettes, there colors I never wear.

So love this!!! Even though I only own drugstore makeup no highend, my collection is overwhelming bc i became obsessed & buy too many things. Sooo with my baby girl on the way and moving im finally coming to grips of letting go. I had a huge thing for MAC eye shadows until I discovered Makeup Geek. I love how Makeup Geek eye shadows fit in MAC palettes, seeing that I was turned off by buying Makeup Geek shadows, because I didn't like how z-palettes looked.

Regarding Mac Club.. I bet you would like TF Girly more, I know I do. It's similar but pulls orange/green instead of brown/blue. I don't know if they made it in a single though.. it's in the Pretty Rebel palette and also the new Everything Nice holiday set. A similar color that is sold singly is Kat Von D shadeshifter shadow in Devotion.. it's kind of the opposite of Girly where Girly starts green and shifts orange, it starts orange and shifts green. I buy very few singles but that one is worth it.

Copperplate is my all-time fave MAC eyeshadow. It looks deceptively ordinary in this vid but it is so unique and awesome. I haven't been able to find a suitable dupe.
