This was a great mixtape, underrated though. Mac said this was one of this favorite projects, but it got a pretty neutral reception. I think that's because he was intellectual and deep on Macadelic, but most people out there don't want to think, they'd rather have party music. Mac said that he put on a kind of persona with mixtapes like K.I.D.S., the persona of a very positive, upbeat person. But, he has a deeper, darker side, which he revealed on this mixtape. Too bad though that it seems to go over the heads of most people.

Lol wouldn't say it went over peoples heads. He says pretty much the same things in all of his mix tapes "I'm young, rebellious, and I smoke weed." He just introduced how stressed he was in this tape. But all in all Mac miller doesn't have much lyrical content and honestly nothing to rap about.

Mel Hambrick Listen to "The Question". It's an existential song, questioning his place in the world and his existence. Mac's got way more meaning to his lyrical content than most rappers. Watching Movies With The Sound Off went too far into the abstract, intellectual realm in my opinion though. There weren't many catchy songs on that album
