I am 51 years old and sadly the older I got I felt myself getting angry with the world and just people in general. I just discovered Mac about a year before he passed away. This kid made me want to be kinder. He made me look at the world different. I watch interviews with him. And seeing that smile on his face he just made me want to be happier and have peace inside my heart and for that I will always be grateful. I was in rehab when Mac passed.. I remember he was all I talked about. When someone came up to me and told me he passed I found it unbelievable! Something we his fans heard him talk about for so many years, but could not wrap our minds around the fact that it could actually happen. I felt like I lost a loved one! There has never been any other celebrity that has had that type of effect on me. Mac Miller started out as a rapper and died a true musician. Absolute GOAT!

Well said! Watching his evolution over the years into a true musician was a beautiful thing. I mean the dude could play 13 different instruments by the end! His passing fucked me up big time too! Felt like we all lost a close friend. And that's what was so beautiful about the music he made. It was genuine, he made music about the shit he went through. His music brought people together by him being so open, vulnerable, and honest, it allows the listener to open up too! Forever grateful for Mac and his music! Fucking legend

"Depression" as you understand it is simply a lack of fulfilment. Just a tip from someone that is a bit further along in the journey of life: depression and anxiety are driving forces for change. When you stagnate you feel "depressed". When you start to make positive change you will experience fulfilment and you may even feel happiness as biproduct. Learn to listen to what your body is telling you and remember that no one is coming to save you, things will only get better when you make them better.

not to be that guy, but his mixtape "faces" and almost all of his stuff released as delusional thomas has much more depth behind it. jet fuel and everything else made around this time on swimming was pretty laid back comparatively. to say this is one of his "deepest and most personal songs" is just wrong when his catalogue is so massive. songs like funeral off of faces stands out as personal and deep but thats just me. this "swimming" album was more of a finally made it / maturing kind of album, rather than a deep/introspective kind of thing. but again thats just my opinion
@juankerr1687 Жыл бұрын
@@yungbroc his last two albums, swimming and circle were his albums that had a lot more personal depth. All his albums growing up was macs way off solidifying his spot as a great musician. Its only through fame and substance abuse is he only to realise how depressing life is after a really big break up. Thus swimming in circles is made. Everyone deals with situations differently. I am grateful that he’s able to use those emotions and produce great songs. Unfortunately the situation got the better of him. Rip Mac ❤️ Also, thats just my opinion. Always a little bittersweet to hear Mac these days. Such a loss to this world. We can only imagine what he still had in store for us. As it is we have this, and thankfully, so many other recordings. I'm just grateful he ever existed at all. So I won't be too sad today, the fifth anniversary of his death because that he was even here for a short while is truly a blessing. RIP Malcolm.

A real melancholic feeling listening to these tracks again for what is easily the double digits of replays. Wish you were here Mac today with the brothers from another mother and the sisters from another mister. Always wished we the fans could get music videos for these tracks and it feels like you're still gifting the fans with the goodies. Jet Fuel was one of those tracks that was always being sparked up to. Even listening to it now after all these years I can just mentally get to that level. Thank you to the media team that is still keeping Mac's spirit alive and if you're still raking in that cash; I truly hope you're using those funds for the right things. Feels strange to know so much about someone you never met but wish you could see this Steelers team today brotha! The squad might finally achieve that stairway to seven. Cheers to the all the Mac fans in the comments and for keeping the legends music alive. As long as we keep listening, the big homie will always be riding with us.

After death, this man pulled me from a dark, deep depression from the loss of my mother. For that, I will forever be thankful and hold Mac in my heart. Every time I hear one of his songs I remember how I felt, and how much better I feel now being able to look back and contemplate all the bad and good that have happened to me in my life.

How did we not protect this man more? I know we can be our own worst demons sometimes, slaving away to work and wanting something beautiful to come to fruition, but people need to step in for us. As artists we put our heart and souls into everything, we need A LOT of love and energy put back into us for this. In saying this I’m realizing the duality of my own reality. Thank you Mac, you just made me realize the struggle we both share and gave me the keys for mine. I’m 34 years old and just realized why I am so empty from putting so much of my heart out, and that I need to surround myself with like minded people more who do the same to keep me whole “Mann Love Is Underrated” ❤
