R.I.P one of the greats. I hope people come back to this track through the years. So short but my lord the beat is ridiculous and the lyrics are unheard of. No one raps like this, no one ever has rapped like this, and honestly with the state of the game right now we might not see someone rap like this again for a while.

Rap will never be the same without mac, I'm tired of thumbing down every song just to hear constant rappers who sound like they dropped out of preschool and started sucking dick while rapping and doing soooooo many drugs they can't remember how to rap. It's like they teach themselves 4 new words everyday then forget every other word. Fuck today's rap. I hate it

I still argue that Mac Miller was the greatest lyricist we’ve ever seen. I know people say Em, Kendrick, etc.. but I still think Mac’s bars were untouchable. In his words, his throwaways will trash ya. Never will I tire with these Firestone’s, might as well retire go and find a home.

Was this dude black balled ? Im a new fan post death, and I hear shit like this and see how old it is. How in the fuck was he not in talks as one of the greatest living ? He gets a lot of respect now and I know his fandom runs deep . But how the fuck was he spitting bars like this and the whole rap community wasn’t losing their minds over it ? I see how much love he gets from other artists and many who had bigger platforms. How was they not pushing this shit ? As sheer lovers of hip hop they should have been INCLINED to make sure everyone knew this was happening . That’s fuckin crazy dawg. This shit is 7 years old and nobody WAS or IS rapping bars like this . This shit made me stand up half way through and I’m a old head. I’m genuinely lost and a little pissed off. Rest easy young man . You deserved all the accolades. The hunger can be heard through his whole discography . Man FUCK rap!

It’s my hope that one day everyone else will realize what we knew the whole time. The man truly was a beast of a fucking lyricist. I don’t think it was so much him being black balled, I think he kinda always said “fuck the industry I want to make my music” and they wanted him to fall in line. Also, standing up halfway through this song is an absolute appropriate reaction. He goes the fuck in. Might I also suggest - Salamander, The End Is Near, Ericas House. All 3 have a similar vibe to this track.

Found this man 7 years ago. While everyone was drooling over mumble gangster rappers talking about fucking bitches and guns Mac was here getting a sliver of what he deserved. Many times I've put on some of Mac's songs that I really felt my friends would get a vibe for and they just look at me like "wtf is this" and it angers me to my core. There's nobody that even kind of rapped like Mac in the game anymore. It's dead, all we've got is past-tense rappers and it fucking sucks.

@@TheBlackMambaa248 I think you right.... "Fuck the famous functions. The A list cant be trusted, I strong arm em like i play the trumpet. The bottom barrel of society..." This young man was purely him. He stood strong perfected his craft and it all came from passion and being a student of the game. His whole evoltion was brutally honest and a form of self sacrifice (metaphorically, I aint talking conspiracy). True ART. And I have heard em all. I did a heavy deep dive. I often get such an empty feeling when I hear the greatness. Just shaking my head. Wondering if things could have turned out different if he was recognized for what he was. A true hip hop living legend. I kick myself for sleeping on this young man. I am a 40 year old father of 3 , and even a song like this one will bring a tear to my eye. So much talent, such a tragedy.
@gamecop21913 жыл бұрын
@@robertm4934 I agree with everything you said. Ive done an intensive deep dive. From front to back on his discogrpahy, and all the random "throwaways" like this song here. He always brought it. The hunger, the passion, the true skill. And he perfected that craft with each evolution. HOV is one of my favorite artists of all time, as a 40 year old man thats who I was on growing up. Seeing that tweet where he mentioned Mac at the end just goes to show. It makes me feel something special knowing HOV must have had his own deep dive. And this was before Mac had even released his last 3 projects I believe. After listening to Inertia, this overwhelming feeling of emptiness came over me. This young man was just starting, which is insane to say because he had such a well rounded career. " you aint no one till you die and come back to life iller". He was feeling reborn. I shutter at the thought of a reality without the future of his art. Its hard to believe we are in that reality. RIP YOUNG MAC MILLER TRUE HIP HOP LEGEND BEFORE AND AFTER LEAVING THIS WORLD
