ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

Mac Royal’s performance was much better than many professionals on serious award shows. He had all the notes in tune. He had the low register, the high notes, and soared in perfect pitch to the heavenly grace notes. He had the look. He felt the lyrics and it showed. He had the drag and he had the swag. He took D’Angelo’s incredible song, did it beautifully, and made it his own. I hope he gets a career launch from this. He really deserves it. Mac is incredible. So smooth and has such clean runs, it’s like his voice is already autotuned. I’m sad that Kaylee didn’t go through, but I’m so glad Mac did. He deserves to win I believe, but it’s in the hands of the voters now. I wish Mac the best of luck, he is a true star.
