I'm back. I finally graduated high school this year and I'm taking a gap year before attending college. I'm going to use this year for social media - just trying things out :)

Why did you take 16gb? I am so confused what is better? Take m2 with 16gb and 512gb or take m3 with more SSD or RAM…

Hi, I chose the 16GB RAM option because I will use basic 3D modeling and CAS programs in college that run more smoothly with or sometimes require a higher RAM. As for the storage, I did not upgrade and left it at 256GB because it would've been like 250€ for double the storage compared to the 1TB external SSD for like 90€. It's important to know that you can't upgrade or extend the RAM but you can extend the storage with an external SSD. I also updated the GPU (the graphics card) for my CAS applications. As for your question, if you should take the m2 or m3, they have the same internal aspects. The few new things in the M3 will not be noticeable I think. This means you would pay 100€ more for the M3 for the same configurations as the M2. If you'll just use the MacBook for simple things like Word and doing research, you could definitely just get the one with 8gb of RAM. But if you, like me will use more complex applications f.e. video editing, a bit of gaming, and CAS-programs then you should probably upgrade to 16GB of RAM and maybe upgrade the GPU if the graphics are important to you. @@riekemeret thank you so much! I am going to buy for browsing, tutoring and just studying. Afraid that 8gb won’t be enough… I am not so into MacBooks, so idk what is better for me. There are the same prices: I have 3 options Take m2 16/512 Take m3 8/512 Take m3 16/256

I think out of those three options the first one (M2 16/512) is your best option. Because you then have the security of the 16GB of RAM incase you need it because you're f.e. multitasking with a lot of apps open. And the storage is nice to have to store photos, files etc..

And the m3 is really not worth it in my opinion. Apple should've changed the base confg. CPU or GPU at least
