Finally! These are my favourite types of videos from you!!! love love love the MacBook Soooo... you've asked in the beginning of the video: I currently (still) use the MacBook Air 2017 model. My parents bought it for me in 2018 (I think?) when I got into Uni. It was my first ever laptop and still is, they bought it for me as a student laptop but also I'm using it to this day both for work and video editing (though it does get super loud and hot). Because of the struggles I have with video editing, and I'd definitely like to do more of that, I've been planning to buy a MacBook Pro for a while... but also spending $3000+ (cause I want the 16 inch one too) is a lot and I'm still working on it. but someday for sure. loving your video Sofia, thank you for it, would. like to see more of these like customization, what's on my MacBook etc. please

@@onichaartur7750 it depends what for, for university 100% yes ipads aren’t very good with holding loads of files like laptops are and they can’t open certain websites and such. but if you like hand written notes you should get an ipad because it is great for that but you could also just get a notebook and pen alongside your laptop. i just use my ipad for games

I have a MacBook Air (M2) base model too, and so far it has handled everything I threw at it…including some basic video-editing. 🙂 Also, personally I think the storage doesn’t really matter as you can (and should) just put your files and folder on an external HDD or SSD (it’ll keep your Mac more lighter and consequently faster); if you really wanna upgrade something, better to upgrade the RAM as that is where the processing power actualy resides. 👍

I switched to a MacBook last December and the first thing I did was buying a case as well as a laptop sleeve from Burga for it. MacBooks are honestly so expensive, thus I believe you should really invest in their protection

Why did you get a new Mac when you have the MacBook Pro 2019? The trackpad speed can be adjusted in settings, and the loud closure is just you not taking as much care of the rubber seal as you could have. Also, the M3 air’s specs are just a bit higher than the pro. Even with an i5, I don’t think you needed an upgrade, seeing as you’re only doing schoolwork and some light editing. Mind you, there is the weight difference, but then you also sacrificed screen size. 21:01 But since you went ahead and bought it anyways, congrats on the new Mac! Also, I love your puppy, he’s so cute!

Hey Sofia, I am very late but, Apple makes it so you can also use any of the 3 USB C ports on the Air for charging.

You can use the same usb c charger from the Mac Pro with the new m3 air as well. You can use either the MagSafe 3 or one of the thunderbolt ports

got the same color, same specs just a day before. To me, the fingerprint problem sure is annoying but not a major issue, I have confidence I can ignore it. I choose the midnight black color simply because I want something different. I'm a MacBook user since 2014, the last MacBook I'm using is a 2017 MacBook Air 13inch, and it's the common silver color. So from the start, grey and silver are out of the choice, starlight seems cool but still not distinctively enough from the light color such as white/silver. It's just faint gold. So I choose midnight black to have that completely different looks.

I have an iPad Pro 12.9 with pen and Magic Keyboard which I plan to use for studying to see if I can use it for my studies. I do want to start a KZbin channel, write a book and do more on the socials. I think I may have to invest for the future.

Let me tell you about my current situation 😂: Yesterday, I went to an electronics shop. They had some good prices, so I asked about the MacBook Air M2 in Midnight, but they only had Space Gray. I went back home and ordered the Midnight version on Amazon (which cost €999, so it was a very good deal). Unfortunately, today I’m having second thoughts because I read that it attracts fingerprints easily and the blue color tends to scratch off. To make matters worse, the shop no longer has the MacBook at the same price (+€200), and Amazon hasn’t accepted my request to cancel the order. I also miss the classic contrast between the keyboard and the desk! I don’t know what to do… I’m currently without a computer because my previous MacBook crashed 💀

Well, a 13.6 inch screen is not really a small screen, especially when you are using it in person. I have the same dilemma back then on choosing between 13 and 15, since I was afraid that I will regret purchasing the 13 inch over the 15. But once you use it, the size of the screen is enough for office or school work. It's not always the bigger, the better. It looks small in camera but once you use it in person, the screen is just okay. If you have the budget and really want the large screen, go ahead and pick 15.3 Macbook Air. But if your budget is limited and you want portability, pick 13.6 inches, it is way cheaper compared to 15 inch. Whatever you choose between the two, you will not regret it. But for me, 13.6 inches is already good enough for school and office work.

If you also don't have another computer, a larger screen would be nice for your main computer, but the 13 only looks small when compared to the 15. It's a good size and I don't have any issues using it, even with bad eyesight (I wear glasses and this is my first Macbook)

Sofia, I'm sorry to interfere in your business, but I'm quite mixed by your choices regarding the purchase of your new MacBook... Already, 8GB of RAM for video editing (especially if you use Final Cup Pro), you risk to be disappointed. Since it is subject to numerous crashes (Apple itself recommends going up to 16GB minimum). I understand that you want to save money. But there, your MacBook Air won't last you very long... And one last thing, if you like fingerprints, you will be served.
