I had a coffee spill watching this video made it easy to replace a new keyboard. Did the battery to might as well put it back together and just need to replace the logic board or mother board. Then i think it should good as new! Even though it a dinosaur

I have a mid 2012 15 in Macbook Pro. There seems to be a piece broken on the logic board connector where the keyboard ribbon connects. I think it was broken from a previous speaker replacement job I did, but the keyboard was still working since. Last night I replaced the other speaker and now the keyboard isn't working, only the trackpad. I'm not sure if the cable is all the way in the logic board connector. If the logic board piece is broken, do I need to get another logic board? I don't have the tools to try and replace just the logic board connector, and it looks like a pretty intense job to remove it and connect a new piece. Anything else to try? Thx!

What is the black rectangle adhered on the back of the keyboard back illumination cover? Mine fell apart when removing this cover. I think it might be some sort of heat or electrical insulator because it is right under where the memory goes. Anyone know what I can replace it with?
